It may be better to talk to a professional. I have a mental disorder.I have Major Depressive Disorder. I'm able to work,I just can't find a job,so it makes me bored and depressed, because I also don't have much money. Years ago I got SSI. I remember waiting for a very long time. I'm not on medication anymore, I feel I like using natural remedies to help me feel better. I like meditation,I use vitamins, sometimes one becomes depressed because they don't have the right vitamins in their diet. I don't think meds are the answer to everything. You should maybe look into it more.I search the internet for remedies. If blogging helps, then thats good for you.Thats something that helps me also, if I write or blog online, it's a way to get your feelings out. I've been responding to some of your discussions, because I think you have some interesting ones.

I agree .. writing helps if you are able to actually express yourself. I do blog a little, but mostly I do writing for hire... I do it when I feel up to it.

Try to go out with your friends. Don't let bad things control yourself or you will lose. Try to talk to your family, or if you want more professional then call someone who can help u.

I guess we are all like that to some degree because we suppress our emotions most of the time and sometimes it just erupts like a volcano. But if it happens on a daily basis one should go visit a psychologist.

I think you need to decide if you are able to work and lead a normal life, or if you need some help. It's always good to have friends to talk to, but I wouldn't make it their job to keep me sane. It's my job to be proactive in my own health and mental health. I am disabled and I have to rely on a disability check from Social Security. I also have serious mental problems, but I am perfectly sane. I have a fractured personality so there are parts of me that take on the persona of other people.. but I don't have dissociative identity disorder.. mine personalities are coping mechanisms for depression and anxiety... I also have periods where I cannot speak, this too is a manifestation of depression called conversion. You won't be rich on SSI but it could help you if you are not able to hold down a regular job. If you are able to hold down a regular job there would be no point in trying to get SSI because you wouldn't need it. But it sounds like you might need it but are in denial about it. I feel you should see a psychiatrist and be evaluated, at least. I will be seeing a new psychiatrist because the one I had was a real jerk to me and we didn't get along at all. He refuses to see me even though now it wouldn't be a problem because I have better insurance. My problem with him was that he demanded I come see him even though my Medicare wouldn't pay anything. I had to pay $95 a visit with him... now I have better insurance and I would only have to pay $40 a month. I hope that she (the new doctor) will get me on the medication and treatment that I need so I can feel normal. It is no shame to see a doctor or need treatment Juggal0Xx420. If you had diabetes or some other illness you would need a doctor's care... mental health is no different.
