Has anyone used Clipix or Pinterest?

As much as I love to show off my pictures, I signed up for Pinterest but was placed on a waiting list. Huh? Then once I was "approved" and filled out my profile information, I didn't see kwhat the big deal was. My writing/small biz feeds can't plug this enough though. Clipix looks a little more user-friendly. I found out about them after the Pinterest drama as they wanted to placed a sponsored ad on my blog. The marketing agency I work with was supposed to supply tutorials on the specifications but all I got were bad links. Long story short, I passed on this because it seemed to be too much trouble getting set up. How do you use either of these and how would you rate the experience? Real feedback please, thanks!
