I finally get my Rick Mercer fix!!!!!

I've watched this show back six or seven years ago, but Hubby wanted to watch his stuff, and back then we didn't know much about online episodes on the Internet. So today I was poking around CBC.ca and found out to my delight that CBC allows us viewers to watch the Rick Mercer Report - full episodes and free! Now I"m so excited.
For those of you who aren't Canadian, Mercer is a political comedian, but boy is he good! He picks on ALL the political parties and tries to be fair. Also, he shows us around beautiful Canada (for example Quebec snow boat racing, and Alberta's longest skating trail with warming huts. Really entertaining.
I finally got my Rick Mercer fix again....after so many years. Gotta luv Canada.

It sounds like you will have lots of fun with that. I should look around for some shows to watch online, but I really just go online to visit and earn money.

Ya, that's what I do mostly, but I find Rick Mercer Report such a delight and hits right to home. Whenever I'm not swagging or just want to relax I'll kick back and watch that show, it's only one once a week, though. That is my knitting time! :-D That and CBC Marketplace and the CBC.ca news, it's the only time I get time to knit up some of my project, other than Shabbat where is a day of total relaxation for me.

I am trying to set aside time right before bed for some hand work. It happens at least part of the time. If I am not where the cats can join me, I can crochet and watch Sidetick tv.

The only politics I know is from watching him...pretty sad huh lol. He rocks. Trying to get tickets to see him but he's fully booked this season. Hope to go to a show next season!!! He rocks!!!!

Tee hee, and he's so unique, lots of the American stuff like derogatory jokes and such, but this guy not only makes jokes he shows us around beautiful Canada, really it's such a delight to watch the show. It'll also gimme some knitting time as well since I mainly use the internet for online earning. I'd love to make it to one of his shows though, he's in toronto, I think.

Yeap it is, if you're born and raised die-hard Canadian that's one national show that's really appreciated. It'l also gimme some good knitting time to catch up on my projects, because the only other thing I use this computer for is online earning, and learning/researching to see if I can make my brain any bigger :-p LOL

I really love Rick Mercer! I really find him really hilarious. My husband and I used to watch him every week, but lately we've haven't been watching him as much. We'll still watch some clips online though. We really enjoy his show and such.

I like his funny Front Page and Rants, those are good. Here in Nova Scotia, the cable companies won't even let us have our 3 free local channels so now we have no TV, so that's how I discovered cbc.ca and that they had Mercer online. I also love the Marketplace, I watch that every week online as well, they're real eye openers.
