I hate going to malls. There are always more things to buy. Especially when I go shopping with my kids. They have their own things to buy. I can't tell them not buy anything. To me, as long as they are happy, I just let them buy what they want. Shopping time is my kids' time to play around. What about you, when you go shopping in malls or supermarket, do your kids come along with you? Do you let them buy what they want.?

Yeah, I don't have that much time for my kid cause I hope almost everyday. Shopping with her really helps her explore and have fun after a week of going to school. We don't go out that much because it is really costly. The food, the things she wants to buy and the rides she wants to do. But as much as possible I also just let her buy what she wants. I remember myself when I was a young girl my mom also just let me buy what I want given that it's not too expensive. That's why if it's grocery time I really enjoy going with her. It's like the most fun thing to do regularly. So, I want my kid to also remember this when she grows up. I just make sure to let her know that she should buy wisely, like she should buy things that will really be useful to her and as much as possible long lasting. I feel happy when I see her happy and excited.

Hi and a happy day to all! I don't have kids, but i like shopping with my husband. There are always things we buy that is really not important or priority in our grocery list because we are attracted to sales or reduced prices. Buying those products with reduced prices can help us to maximize our money though. For example we stock on toilet and kitchen tissues, detergents, soaps when they are on reduced prices. We also like to buy off season clothes so they are a bit cheaper. Buying winter clothes on summer time has real impact on the budget. Happiness of your kids is priceless though. But maybe you can have more time with them in a restaurant or fast food? That time they wont spend running around department store. I also think you can take them in game zones, but they will be addicted to games of course. Plan a picnic and go for outdoor games instead. Enjoy your time with your kids!

The easiest for me to go with kids is malls. We don't have to pay the entrance fee except parking fee. Also it's closer to my house. Thank you for your suggestion. Happy mylotting.

I dont have kids but if i go grocery shopping with my boyfriend its usually not the best thing because he will buy things that we do not need and its like WHY?. I really dont get it sometimes at all and its really not right because i try to save moneyh and pay on the bills and try to only get the necessities at walmart or the grocery store but that doesnt always happen if i happen to have him with me. I might start going by myself to the grocery store so i can get things we need and not the want items. It might work out better that way LOL.

You know that when we are loaded, we have no worries over this but when the wallet gets thin an flat, shopping can be very worrying and each time you pick out a thing you look at the price and total how much you'll have to cash out for the day.

Hello yanzalong,I love malling,it is one way of relaxing my self. Most of the time, I go shopping alone because my kids are busy in their works.Any way I only buy things which is in my list. There were times That We go shopping with my husband when his not busy in his job.I dont have enough money to buy things which is not really necessary.Any way my kids have time to buy what they want. They have their own money and they can support their needs now.

My ex girlfriend is a shopaholic, and she would love to buy this and that. Although she has a closetful of clothings and shoes, she still don't feel enough for the moment when she was in mall. I hate to go to mall, and I hate shopping. Every time I gotta spend money for her, that is why the ultimate reason I want to broke up with her. She is not worth it.

I am sort of shopaholic, too, when new types of mobile phones have been launched. I am always wanting to buy a new cellphone. This is not good, I know because when you sell your used phone, the price is much too low to make up the difference for a new phone.

Satisfaction of kids even adult is unlimited, they just keep want to buy a lot as much they can. Sometime the kids like to have a toys and like to buy chocolate and ice-cream, their most favorite. You cannot stop them from buying a toys or their favorite, sometime we have to stop also. From this i wanna say that we must buy a limit things for them because later if not become bad habit of them.!!

I have no kids, but I don't like going to the mall. Not because I spend, I don't. It's funny how usually when I find myself venturing to the mall, it's because I am broke. The mall has overpriced items as is, and so the only thing I would possibly buy is maybe some cheap jewerly (though I am not much into that) or something on clearance.

Not really, i do not let them just buy whatever they want as it needs to be within the budget..plus it also teaches them discipline

I used to follow my mother to malls when i'm still young. I stopped when i'm midway into high school. I don't like the feeling of tagging along as it's my growing up stage, where friends are more important to me. However as i get older, i started to appreciate family more. I choose to spend time with them over friends. I started placing priority on my family above anything else. In the past, parents used to buy for whatever i want, while now, i'm paying willingly for whatever they need and want. However my main reason for shopping with my mother, is to spend quality time with her.

I'm not bothered when i go shopping and my son is with me. But i have set certain rules regarding shopping. He has his own shopping day where we buy him whatever he wants. If it's not his day, he's only allowed to look at things but not allowed to buy them. He's pretty smart and obeys the rules but sometimes when he sees something nice, he would check the price. If it's cheap he would ask if he could get it. And he does.

I like going to the mall even though I don't always buy anything. Even it's just window shopping, for me, it's a relaxing activity. I like being able to see the items I want to buy and hoping one day I will be able to buy them.

I hate shopping because I always see things I feel like buying, but I don't need them. It's not so hard to hold myself back, because I have to save money, and if I want to have something I like to buy it myself. I only go to a store if I know what I want to buy, and often go with a shopping list... I know it's not easy to go shopping with kids, they like to get many things they see, and often get mad if they can't get them. Or if they don't their parents are either lucky or taught them well :)
