Befor some matches we can see sachin cant get big run. And now india team in a troubble. Because they are lost last two matches. And sachin had no any century since many time. I think he should retire now. And make a place for a new match winner cricketer. Kapildev also want this.

As we say, we don't know the value eye till its there, we will only recognize its value when its lost..Sachin is a player like that.. Can we simply say that he(someone) is the replacement for Sachin.. Surely he is blocked with one essential century, if he finds it he will still go a lot.. Sachin is a good team player, so he will surely announce his retirement, if he is not going to be useful for the team anymore.. If his cricket is below par he can recognize it better than anyone else.. I don't think that he is a player who stick in the team using his fame.. So let us give a little more time, either he will rise again, or he himself will announce his retirement, just wait for what sachin says.. And if Kapil says sachin should retire, then vengsarkar replied to it by saying that, there is no need for that, and as we know he is the best cricketer in the world..

Sachin had a big break in ODI, after that world cup win. I think that is having a bad effect in his ODI career, such a long break was not needed, hope that he will find his form soon and play at least for few more series..

This is the question running on every one's mind right now. I had also started discussion regarding the same. I think only Sachin is the best person to decide when he is gonna retire. But his low scores in the series havent done the team any good. :(

I dont think Sachin would retire so quickly, he is still India's better batsman and good nick...he still has some more years up his sleeves...Also India is yet to find an allrounder and a better batsman to replace him...so he can stay till then. He will come to know when to retire and he himself would take the decision when the time comes...till then he is enjoying his game...so let us leave him alone.

We can't simply ask retirement of Sachin, just taking consideration of single ODI/Test series. Up to the present series we were praising him as the key player of Indian team. He is failing to reach his 100th 100 but he is still having runs except in last few matches. The critical problem that Indian team facing is the team spirit. Note only Sachin all player's performances are below in this series. So inspire Sachin to come back to his best form. Kapil Dev has no right to ask Sachin to retire. All know how Kapil's retirement happened. With out any performance in batting or bowling he stuck as Indian captain even for years, just to add some figures to his records.

yeah u also thinks that Sachin should take retirement after this series of Australia.i think Schins's time is over now.and we have to look forward for next World Cup.Although he is greatest player of cricket and nobody can replace him or fulfill his place but it is right time also for Sachin to declare his innings like ponting.

You have started a very sensitive discussion I think. A lot of people will say no it is not the time. He has a lot more to give to indian cricket, he is god of cricket etc etc. But I want to ask only one thing. Do you really feel that he has a lot more to give or it is just the emotion for him? I personally think it is the time for him to quit, otherwise a situation like ponting may also happen to him or may I say has happened already as he was given rest for a match in current series. I think he should take the hint and just declare retirement form oneday. Whatever may be the reason, be it the fitness or pressure for 100th century or current controversy regarding dhoni's comment, it is simply looking like he is out of form currently. He is not looking like previous sachin at all.

I still don't think Sachin has to retire. But if he is going to play the same style, it is better he retires before spoiling his name. We cannot forget Sachin's mastery and achievements, but they have become little old. I am seeing a different Sachin. The strokes he mastered previously have now gone. I don't know whether his fitness is making any difference, but if he can't play his master strokes anymore, it's lot better to leave way for fit people. And he is still playing good test cricket. May be he should retire from playing limited over cricket.

i think that now its time for sachin to admit his retirement.he is player who is admired by fans all over the world.he has to think about his retirement and give a chance to the other young stars who are sitting at the bench
