CSI Cast Changes

I've been a long time CSI fan and over the past few years they have had cast changes several times. While I have always enjoyed the show, I must admit that the most recent cast changes have got to be the best. Ted Danson's character is awesome and Elizabeth Schue adds a delicious aspect. While I do miss Marg Helgenberger, the new season has shaped up to be completely delightful. What are your thoughts on the cast changes? Who have been your favorites and who would you like to see leave the show?

When the cast of a loved show changes, one is always afraid. Sometimes with reason and we don´t watch it anymore. But in this case I think that the show got much better. Characters have to be made true to themselves and all situations start to get predictable. Danson´s character and new Elizabeth Schue add spice to the show with a sense of humor it did not have before. I love that.

Me, too. CSI got so dark when Laurence Fishburne was in it, it got downright depressing. With Danson and Shue's characters there is more of the humor that gives us a break from the darkness. Every crime drama needs some humor to lighten it up or it gets too depressing and no longer entertaining.

I quit watching the CSI for Vegas, because my favorite character is gone. I have other shows that I'm busy watching right now so it's not a priority.

You don't say who your favorite character was. The cast changes have made things interesting, for sure. I would love to see them get rid of Hodgins...the guy just bugs me...and my daughter and I both hate Brass but the rest of the cast are so much fun, especially the newest ones. You might want to check it out again. You might find that you like the new look. I love the way Ted Danson's character calls "family meetings" to get the crew together.

I also love NY but don't really like the Miami one. I actually prefer NY to LV although the newest cast changes have made LV a delightful show and at the moment the two are at a tie in my book.

I always enjoy the science they use and follow the cases with fascination. I have to admit, though, that the current cast of characters is the most fun of all the ones I have seen. Their little quirks are fun to watch and the new chief of the CSIs played by Ted Danson is delightful. I love it when I can laugh and smile at a show as well as watch a crime being solved.
