I have been addicted to Pepsi for a few years now. I can't go a day without drinking it. When I tried to stop drinking it I would get cranky and violent. I am not a violent person so I continued to drink it. I drink 710ml of Pepsi a day, sometimes it is even more. I had 7 glasses of Pepsi today! Anyways does anyone have any tips for me to cut down on Pepsi? I don't want to quit it just cut down because it is really bad for you.

I am a Coca-Cola addict, and like you I have tried to cut down on this. I, too drink that much amount and more a day, and just feel irritated and uncomfortable when the crave for it starts. Right now, I'm starting to crave for it again. I think I'll go get myself a glass or two. Cheers!

Quitting seems next to impossible now. Best thing to do is reduced intake of it and hope that we go to a full stop eventually. I always dream of living a healthy lifestyle. I know it won't be easy but I do hope I get to reduce this addiction or put a full stop to it before it's too late. Good luck to us!

Haha the most I ever drank was 12 glasses in 1 night. I felt like I was going to die the next morning if I didn't find a bathroom soon!! :P But we should really quit.

soda makes you thirst more and more, and when you get cranky it means the pepsi level in your body is low and is asking for more pepsi, maybe try gulping water first before pepsi and maybe and gradually you will crave for pepsi less and less. just my two cents.

Thanks galeys! :) I will try that. The last time I drank water only was when I got my wisdom teeth removed, I was scared it would burn if i drank it. Then my cravings got so bad that I drank it with a straw. and I was back on it. -_-

Since your love for this soda drink has somewhat turned into an addiction, I guess one way to minimize your consumption is set a target and stick to it. It's like quitting cold turkey in a sort of way although easier since you're not totally getting rid of it. Just decide on a number, like half your consumption per day for example. Once you've consumed that half, you stop, no ifs not buts. It would be hard the first few days but your body and your mind would soon get accustomed to it. Good luck :)

good day miijojo1994, with regard to your query, well, maybe i am your counterpart. as i loved to drink a coke every now and then. but that was before, and i am thankful that i was able to stop the habit of drinking it. the very first reason that i have stopped drinking it was, one of my friend have told me, drinking colas will somehow do a great effect on our health. as this might lead to diabetes. thus having too much cola in the body will somehow be a contributing factor. aside from that, food digestion will be difficult. hence, indigestion will arise. in addition, this will add up too much body weight. and since i am in the process of dieting, so i need to loose weight everyday. aside from doing my daily exercises, i also need to cut down intake of sugar and sweets, so drinking colas are somehow prohibited. with the things that i have shared above, perhaps, you can take at least one for you to consider to stop drinking pepsi. or maybe, try to avoid it slowly. until you find yourself not drinking it anymore.

maybes so should now consult a specialist. Pepsi and other soft drinks are acidic, it may cause health problems if you are drinking that much a day.

Hm, there's lots of different ways to stop your addiction, but they're all hard in my opinion. The most obvious one is to cut down and drink less and less everyday. Another one would be to change your addiction to something else that's healthy and that you love to eat. But too much of anything is still bad for you. I think you should have some help from a friend, which would make it easier, lol. BUT, I think you should search up the horrible things diet Pepsi will do to you and become too scared to drink anymore :D But it all depends on you and your self control. Good Luck!

I did have a friend who he would help me with it if I would help him to quit smoking. But I haven't seen or heard from him in a few weeks :( I'll message him later :) I have searched what Pepsi can do to you, and watched news reports about it but it still doesn't make me want to stop, it's like a real addiction, people may laugh because it weird to hear that.
