What are your ideal characteristics to your partner in life?

Most couple has always a trouble in their family living. Maybe some of their different characteristics and some of their marriage will lead into divorce, annulment or separation. mylotters, what are your expected ideal characteristics to your partner in life so that your marriage will last til death do as part?

I think honesty is the key and for both parties to actually show their love for each other, I think most people need the to be shown the love and not have to depend on the marriage certificate as proof for it...
