It is frustrating to reply to a comment with full effort and gusto and when you press submit you get a blank. Here I am trying to recall what I have previously written but it is never the same. I am trying to catch the feeling and the words which I had the first time I wrote my reply but like air, you cannot just catch it. Sigh! Next time I will remember to put it in draft first so I can simply paste it when it fails to register the first time.

Hatley's method above is actually thing that I used to use. Every time I finished typing for a post, I will press CTRL + A (Select all) and then CTRL + C (Copy) - then I can feel safe to press the "post response" button at below.. :) It should not a complicated thing to do, and may help a lot, if there's connection problem, either from my side or mylot's side.. If the reply was "vanished", I will simply hit the CTRL + V (Paste) :)

hI! I am not really that computer savvy so I welcome suggestions from friends, here at mylot or where am at. Your suggestion is another one I did not know earlier or saw friends use but could not memorize which letter is for which. I do the lengthy process of encoding it in word, copy it and paste it in mylot. Now I have usable shortcuts. Thanks and have a nice day.

Yeah that is totally frustrating. It’s happened to me severally because am, always registering in new forums. It’s always good if you are writing a lot you type in a notepad first.

welcome to mylot. The instances like the one quoted by you are not many. They are few in no. So I tolerate them. Otherwise what we should do -- have a separate folder or file for mylot --type out the response in them and then copy and paste. But I do not do it that way. I simply type. If it accepts ok otherwise I may try again.

I seem to have been really lucky in that I haven't had this happen to me - yet! I've probably just jinxed myself by writing this lol.
