Two people in my city (of about 210,000) have been diagnosed with TB recently. They are only telling the people that work with, or went to school with the individuals to get tested. I don't falll into that category, but should I get a test anyway???? Would you?

If you want to get tested you can but you don't have to. I got mine done when I was in college it was easy test. All they do is put and air bubble under your skin and in a few days you go back to the doctor and they ask you a few question and its done. Its painless and quick. If you work with kids a lot of places will ask for you to get it done and I think you have to have it done ever few years or so.

i think you should get it, i would like that too. it's still better that way because if in case we got exposed to the bacteria (Mycobacterium Tuberculosis), we will be treated right away. in what area is this by the way?

Yes, you should. Odds are good that you don't have it. However the fact that people actually need to be tested to enter schools and such should tell you that it is probably really important to be careful of you probably wont ever get it but still you should do it anyway.

I would get one just to make sure I don't have one.
