He was doing drugs in my house

I let someone stay in my home, and within a day or two I smelled a very distinct odor that I could not put my finger on. It lingered in the house day and night, and I could not figure out what the sweet smelling fragrance was. It could not have been a dish he prepared, because it was there constantly. The funny thing is, when I went into his room upon invitation, I could not smell it. yet it smelled in the hall by his room and upstairs. I wondered if it was some kind of drug, and tried to find what it could be. I knew it could not be marijuana, that is very noticeable. I would ask periodically what is that smell, and he began using air freshener and colognes to cover it up. lol--not too bright. It did not do anything for it, except for the hour or so the air freshener hung in the air. After that I could smell that sweet smell. It happened that after he left, a few sweaters I had left on my rocker above his room had that odor, so I wore one to the restaurant I was going to visit. I had the waitress smell it, and she said it is weed. Huh? Now come on, I do know what that smells like! I mean, I was a teenager in a drug-infested city........enough said. Ya, she said. It's skunk weed. Now come on, I know what that smells like! It smells like skunk. Really, it does. No, she said, they are adding stuff to the weed to change the scent so the cops don't know what it is. O, ok that makes sense. The guy was smoking pot in my house, and it is all over my couch, loveseat, rocker, and anything that was left down there. So I did confront him about it, and he of course denied it up and down. Thank goodness he is gone now. I hate sneaky people, and the fact I was trying to investigate what the smell is, and he had no consideration to even do it outside of the house. Have you ever discovered someone was doing drugs under your nose? How did you handle it when you found out?
