reading between the lines

In a world which abounds in people predominantly characterized by double-speak, it is difficult for simple folks to understand fellow beings and their real motives. There is a minuscule minority of people who can read between the lines and cope with the chameleons of modern society. The rest are to lurch in blissful ignorance. What will happen if a software of sorts is produced to understand in advance what people actually think? Will it pave the way for a convenient solution to this problem of ambiguity or will it complicate matters?

How nice the world would be if trust remains our watchword in our day-to-day dealings with others!

I don't think that our world of "politically correct" would survive with a software like this. Hypocrisy looks like a standard today, so it is better to learn to read between the lines, and people are not so naive than you believe, and rare are the happy ones who are thinking that black is always black and white always white. The truth is often a bit more complex. Maybe we need schools of skepticism, like in ancient Greece.

That is a fantastic proposition you've put forward.

Reading between the lines is something that we have to do, because I doubt very much that anyone says what they mean. Especially if they happen to hold some kind of political office. There are times where even the most simplest of statements are going to have a different spin on what they are saying. It is very frustrating to wrap your head behind, especially when sometimes you have to read between the lines of what you are reading between the lines. I will say that if anyone could manage that software, they could be the potentially most richest man on earth. If nothing else, because that person will get paid a lot of money by parties who don't want their double speak unraveled by people and get called out of the carpet about what they do any more than they do. It would be handle but there are some things that are not just meant to be known.
