Do dogs get heat-stroke too??????????

hi friends.just today i heard my neighbour has lost his dog. he was a nice dog but apparently when they let him loose,he jumps on anyone entering home with affection. but not everybody take that kindly so that tied him up and fed him. with temperature soaring high,they said he threw up and died just like that. thats why the question.do dogs get affected with heat stroke too?

Yes dogs do get heat stroke too. They tend to be more affected then humans due to being covered in fur, typically longer haired breeds. Cats can suffer from it, frogs, mice, anything. Its too bad that your neighbor lost their dog.

Yes, dogs do suffer from heat stroke as well. I have read in the news before that people had left their dog in the car with windows wind up. When they return, they discovered that the dog has suffered heat stroke.
