You tried to take out and putting back on the battery. But have you tried to check if the battery has still the power? I had a similar experience with you with my canon remote control camera. I thought it was already damage because I cannot open the shutter lens. So I brought it to the service center. The technician simply put a new set of battery and it worked. . I asked if how much would I pay for it, the man did not charge me anything. :-) From that time on, whenever I encounter a problem like the lens won't open, I just tried to change the battery and it worked. Now with my new nikon camera, i also encounter the same problem. I only change the battery and the problem is solved. So try to change your battery. Not simly taking it out and put it back again. Maybe it needs a new set of batteries. :-)

By the way, my remote control automatic canon camera is still working. I bought it in 1996 when i went to Amman, Jordan. :-) Its battery lasts for a year. Since it's expensive, I don't use it more often these days. :-)

hello there janevi! thank you for that idea. I just took out the battery and then put it back again after resting it for 10 minutes and nothing happened. You maybe right, maybe I need a new set of batteries. I am heading to the mall tonight so I can check out the prize of the battery. I hope I can afford it. thanks and happy mylotting!

I watch vloggers who use their digital cameras all the time and sometimes the "eye" of the camera, AKA the lens will close. They take and tap it with their finger or pry it open and it works fine. Have you tried this? I'd try it, not to the point it'd break but atleast to see if it would open.

hello there somecowgirl! thank you for the suggestion. i already did it by the way and it did not still open. the lens usually goes out and opens itself and now it just does not move. i will go to the service center tomorrow.
