SUNKISSED at La Familia

Another way of spending and enjoying the last and first day of the month is to bond with friends at the beach. It was perfect weekend getaway for the five of us. Since my friend graduated, we decided to "celebrate the good times" as what she calls it. The resort that was owned by her family was located at Island Garden City of Samal thus boarding a barge is a necessity. Meeting time was supposed to be 3pm but I guess we were still busy and we somewhat adopted the so called famous "Filipino Time". We finally boarded the barge around 7 in the evening. It was a fun experience since we get to use tokens in exchange of 10 pesos. It was supposed to be a short ride but it took the barge longer than the usual to dock on the island. After getting off the barge, we had to ride a "habal-habal" or motorcycle to finally reach La Familia. It was another experience that I enjoyed last night. Fastforward to our arrival. By the time we reached the place we were so awed with the place 'cause it looked so cozy, just the right place where I want to be as of that moment. And that's when the party started. Well, our own version of party. Grilled some meat for dinner, watched the PBB awarding, played some games, goofing around while taking pictures and the part that we usually do CHIKA time (conversation with close friends). We slept late and woke up late. After breaking the fast, we went out to have a dip at the beach. I love the feel of the heat on my skin but not the scorging type of heat. After basking in the waters, we had lunch since we didn't want to toast ourselves with the heat and our tummies been grumbling. By 3 in the afternoon, we left the Island. I want to have another beach experience with them just to chill, relax and feel the breeze.
