What is Blog? What is internet blogging?

I just wanna ask what does Blog really mean in your own opinion? What is internet blogging? Why is it that many people make lots and lots of money for it? Whats so important about it? Is what we are doing here in mylot already called blogging? Does one need to study how to blog or we could just blog right a way?
