What if everyone is allowed to print as much money as they want without working for it or exchanging anything for it? What if everyone is allowed to counterfeit money? What would happen to society?

In reality money have no value... because it was just a piece of paper. They seem valuable because govt make regulation on money. If everyone allow to print money then you'll see that it actually have no value. It's like a car's registration paper, we need them because govt make the regulation, but the real value is the car, not the registration paper. What would happen to society? we will be back trading stuff for another stuff, maybe we will use gold as trading currency.

Why won't you take counterfeit money even if the law and courts says you have to?

Paper money,as such, has no value unless it is ratified by the government and the central banking authority. If people were to print counterfeit monney it would have no value and would be just waste paper. If the market would be flooded with such money then the entire economy of the country would collapse, industries and businesses would collapse and everything would come to a standstill.time to time there are people in my country trying to sell and circulate counterfeit notes in the market but they always get caught and are sent to prison.Thats why the central bank keeps changing the design of the notes time and again to prevent such frauds from taking place.

The central banks are allowed to counterfeit money. They create money that has no backing of anykind.

Money would then be pointless and if you wanted something you would have to trade something for the object you are trying to obtain.

Does that mean easy money is worth less then hard money as in money that can only be obtain through hard work or trading items?
