hi mylot readers,Holy Week what does it mean, for me base on my knowledge and understanding, this is the time to remember the passion of Jesus Christ, his suffering from scourging and crucifixion on the cross to free us from original sin we have acquired from Adam and Eve. This is the time, to reflect for our sins we have done,to pray and ask forgiveness. how about you?what can you add on this?

Yes! Holy week is the time to remember the passion of Jesus Christ to free us from sin. I just cant understand why some people want to have a grand vacation on Holy week. They prefer to be on the beach, on parties... and the like. Well, we just pray for them...

Hello, gracepadirog. It is the time starting with Jesus' entering Jerusalem sitting on a donkey colt. It starts with Palm Sunday, the waving of the palm branches, and ends with his being nailed to a cross. It is always a good thing to remember that it was prophesied that he would be the one "riding into Jerusalem on a donkey..." I believe it is important to remember these days. I hope this helped. Have a great day...

The Holy Week is represented by a lot of preparations, in my family. Everybody is calling family and friends, it's like finding a place to celebrate New Year's Eve. As in every year so far, my parents probably will have a lot of people come by the house and celebrate this Holy Day. Usually it's fun because we get to see all our relatives ,at once.

Not only for the original sin but for all sins of mankind. It's a very special week for religious people and people should go to church and confess before Easter, at least that's what usually happens in my family.

this is the time to check one's soul from where it is going and what it has done. from that point, examining one's conscience in relation to one's Christian beliefs should be taken into deeply. thinking and doing positive from the broken pieces that hurt will make a good start to make the world live in peace.

Yes you say it right! Holy Week is the time we remember how God let His Son suffer to save us from sin. We should be grateful for everything the Lord has made for us. It's really important that we would commemorate God's passion every year so that we will not forget and would put to waste God's sufferings. But this is not the only time wherein we reflect, pray and ask forgiveness from God. Everyday should be a moment with God. We should Praise and Glorify His Name every moment, giving Him Thanksgiving, asking forgiveness because we are human and we tend to commit sin most of the time.We can still prevent sin from ruining us by totally surrendering everything to God, talking to Him everyday, thinking only of Him so that we can only do good and not bad.

Bringing back the memories of Gods passions. It would reminds us of the washing of the feet, the Last Supper, the Agony at the Garden, the Scourging at the Pillar, the crowning of Thorns, the carrying of cross to the Calvary and the Nailing at the Cross. The Seven Last Words of God who became man to redeem us from sins. This would also mean for us to repent, to forgive and to do sacrifices like pasting and giving help to the needy.

You are right, Holy week is remembering the passion of Jesus Christ to save us from our sins. We must reflecton our own and ask forgiveness from the sins we made. However, nowadays, this essence are rarely seen from the people right now especially the young ones. They use this season to have reunions with their classmates, enjoying vacations and lot of leisure activities rather than reflecting and praying. Some go to church for so-called "visita iglesia" but you can see them just roaming around making church a liesure place and not a holy place.

Holy week let me remind of the garden of Eden, I always to think holy week is pray for Jesus ,to be in human earth to be kind man. So I always ask my heart whether I am be with god, dot I be fit for god's servent? So I will be with families and friends to think about past and future. The goddess,Virgin Mary is so sacred, Jupiter is with his love errow .The holy week let us be close with pure. Of course Adam and Eve is a good human begin story, romantic and mysterious. I like your picture, so beautiful two faries.

Holy weeks is a time to reflect for me and my family. We usually go on a pilgrimage and do lots of reflecting activities. We visit 14churches on Holy Thursday and Wake up early on easter sunday. We also do not eat pork and beef for our fasting.
