Education, One Step Towards Achieving Our Goals

I grew up in a remote barangay in our country. I can say that we belong to the poorest family in the community. Being poor however doesn't stop me from finishing my studies. When I was in my primary school, I used to walk 4.5 kilometers just to attend school. I got an sponsor during high school. I have to take good care of her house, in return she would be paying for my tuition fee. It took a long time for me to finish my college. Transferring from one job to another just to finance my education. But every hard work has a good result. For every pain there is a reward. I am now a full time employee and it's a good job. My part time job is also rewarding. Education is one thing that we should never take for granted. Because this is our one step towards success.

That's surely a great thing! People in world get education so easily and most of 'em (including me) consider it merely to bee a waste.I've always wondered, why do we read all those subjects and all those history? Isn't it enough to read the subjects that we like? Even that is EDUCATION!You sure have suffered a lot and are getting the benefits and fruits of those, now!The JOB You know what, Hard work is the key to success!and success has reached you only because you had the key.No pain,no gain :)You sure have had so much of difficulties in your life that has brought you like a flying star now.EDUCATION is not an easy thing at all,and eveyone understands it only when they take up those challenges in life.Good day Aries!

We have the right to know those things. That is why. I would give you a simple example. Try reading an accounting book. No matter how hard you read it, if the things in there are explained to you, I wonder if you would learn. You can work harder but if you don't have abilities this is simply useless, you will work hard for the rest of your life.

If you are referring to intellectual or academic education, I can say that it helps but it's not a guarantee for financial success. Success is a broad topic but most of us equate success to finances. Gone are the days when scholastic education is primarily the requirement for success. These days, financial education is better than a scholastic and academic education. I have known a lot of people who never finished college, yet financially successful. Having a college degree is good, yet it's not enough to guarantee our success in any area of life.

Thank you for that very good response. For me who has nothing, I consider it as my first step. First thing that is asked when applying for a job is your college education. Although I have seen also several people who have graduated college but can not find a good job. I can say maybe they stopped after taking the first step. That is when other factors should be considered.

I think that education is one of the most important things in our lives, and we should never forget just how important it is. Not only does it give us skills about how we can do things in our lives, but it also helps us to learn other skills like time keeping and how to work well with other people; all of which are really important in the workplace. People who are educated have been shown to be higher up in their chosen profession, and they generally earn more money than those people who haven't had that level of education.

I congratulate you for a job well done! Truly, the roots of education is bitter but the fruit is sweet. Just like you, I also belong to a poor family but the poverty doesn't become a hindrance to what I want to have in my life. After many years of struggle, I am now here being able to support my family financially. I can now take my mom in malls and just let her buy anything she wants to buy. We are not that poor anymore. That is because I took my studies seriously and I know the importance of education. I know that there are many people who are like us who become successful too despite of poverty. I salute them all!

I admire you! I do believe that poverty is not a hindrance to success. If I'm the President of Country. I will award you. You are really a great example. I'm sorry to say this, but I despise those people who are poor who lose hope. Instead of seeing it as a challenge, they just think of it a problem.

I have always believed that anyone can be successful if they want it bad enough. It doesn't matter how poor of circumstances you come from or how disadvantaged you may be in the eyes of society. Education is one ticket to success in addition to hard work and perseverance. If you have the determination and drive to learn and succeed you truly can go far. You will find a way to make your dreams reality, no matter what it takes. You are right, education should never be taken for granted, it is a ticket to success that should be taken advantage of.

i agree with you it is really the truth that everyone, even the Philippine government is trying to tell people... that they need no bachelors degree and they can get their careers started still... they can get some jobs but i would still say that the competition for jobs are getting more difficult so i guess that meant that we do need anything we can get to make sure we are well prepared for our future.

education is one key to be successful. it makes one person have more asset than someone who wasn't ale t go to school. but sometimes, it cannot make one person succeed if he doesn't work hard for it. hard work and determination are a few of the things i believe in that can make someone successful. some people who didn't even get to go to school are also very successful and rich because of their determination and focus to achieve their goals. i am happy that you worked hard for what you have right now. i am also in search for a job but i haven't been able to apply because i got sick but i am feeling much better now. take care and keep up the good work

hello aries congratz on your achievements in life. I too also belong to a financially struggling family. I too was sponsored by my relatives in my education. Everytime I remember that I shed a tear because I feel so blessed to have kind and helpful relatives. Good thing you also had someone very kind who supported you financially in highschool. And you are a role model because you had a job to finance your education in college. God has really rewarded you with a lot through every pain. I cant help but feel happy for you.
