Writing sometimes is difficult as the pay is really unstable. One local employer pays me for only $2 per article. Although, the pay is low, I am comfortable with it because the article is easy to write compared with the other site I am involved with. The topic depends on the choice of the requester. At times, the topic is easy, other times I need to research

I agree with you. In my first years of looking for ways to earn online, I pocketed my pride for the .50 cents they give me for the same word count articles. However, as I learn my way around I became aware that such payment is really slave! I just hope I can find other sites to write decent payment.

At least you're not writing a 300 or 500 word article for a few cents. Look at the available task in MyLot, the pay is slave wage. I just hope no one is stupid or desperate enough to attempt these ridiculous task.

I did some searching and found Break Studios (Pay $8 for simple articles), Constant Content (Strict but the pay is $20-$50) and Textbroker (pay 1-2 cent per word) All of these sites pay for articles written.

There is no universal answer to your question. There are a lot of things that influence your income - the keywords, the SEO formatting, hot keywords, your marketing of the articles, etc. Secondly, which sites you write for also have a greater say in your earnings. Some sites pay really really very low. If I am not wrong, then Triond is one example that pays low. You can check the sites and a bit of its history before venturing out. Good luck!

I do not write for upfront payment, since many sites do not pay upfront anymore. Right now, I do not have much time for writing, but my old articles are still making money for me. Some old articles in Helium were written way back in 2009, and they had earned more than a thousand dollars for me so far. I had about 300 articles, so that come to more than three dollars per article. At first, the earning was very slow, but as time passed, the little cents add up. Now my articles in Triond and Expertscolumn are contributing to online income too. I just hope that with more articles added, the money will be enough to pay some bills at home. Hopefully by the time I retire, the earning from online sources will add up to form a nice retirement nest.

hello scheng, I have read some of your articles at triond and expertscolumn. You are next in rank with the most number of articles after an Indian writer at EC if I am not mistaken . And that is indeed a good strategy to earn passive income. I am trying to get close to your number of articles but simply cannot What other sites do you submit your articles aside from triond and EC?

It depends upon the quantity and quality of your articles. There are some sites which pay very good amount for each articles. Some sites pay less money for our articles. There are some sites which pay according to the page view. If we can write articles without spelling and grammatical errors, we can earn more.

It depends greatly on which website you are talking about. It also depends what you are writing about.
