in WW2 , the belgian resistance used the schipperke to run messages between various different resistance hideouts and cells , and the nazi's never caught on ! :)

Thank you for sharing this. I never knew that Schipperke was used in world war II. I only knew about the Airedales. They were used during the World War I to carry messages to soldiers behind enemy lines. They were also used by the Red Cross to find wounded soldiers on the battlefield. Isn't that great? There are lots of stories about Airedales delivering their messages behind the enemy lines despite the terrible injuries they suffered.
