What to Read on a Rainy Day

James Patterson is by far my favorite author but not sure I am in the mood to read one of his books today. It started out as a really nice, warm, sunny day but it has quickly turned into a cold cloudy day and thinking it might be a good day to check out a new author. What kind of books do you read on rainy days, or who is your favorite author and why?

I read lots of authors, and for me, too, it really depends on my mood what I like to read (and one other thing: when I'm out in the sun and sweating, my brain just can't perceive higher literature :D). I know it's cliche, but I just love Jane Austen :). I also like Daniel Keyes, too. But I'm not usually like I read all books from one author if I like it, I grab anything that seems interesting :). I have a knack for wicked books, though-I've read a book from Tim Davys... it's book noir in a plush toy world :D.

Thanks for your reply doroffee:) I'll have to look into some of those authors can't really say that I have heard of any of them before lol. I have read Jude Deveroux, John Grisham, and like authors but I'll look into the ones you have suggested. Thanks again!
