What if RCB and CSK won their matches after giving the ball to Kohli & mahesh?

hi friends. last few matches saw some befuddling moves by captains like vettori giving the ball to kohli when they had CSk on the mat with 43 of 12 balls and Dhoni giving the ball to yomahesh. the thing is whether they are tactical moves or not,no one is sure but one can imagine. just imagine kohli bowling the 19th over and morkel gets bowled of the inside edge on the first ball and bravo skying the 3rd ball to long from a mistimed shot. what people would have said? "got lucky this time" nope. you might probably hear shastri screaming on the mic,"what a move by the captain.giving the slow bowler the 19th over and not giving the batsmen enough pace for the big shots.the change of pace did morkel and bravo and one has to say Kohli nailed the final nail in the coffin.clever piece of captaincy" what are the odds? how about last match with yomahesh bowling with 10 required of 6 balls? steven smith gets out bowled after a wild slog towards mid wicket with ryder stranded on the other end.mathews fails to put bat on ball and CSK wins by 2 runs. again Shastri,"Dhoni has done it again.he has been in similar situation in the T20 world cup.he had one over from harbhajan but tossed the ball to relatively unknown joginder sharma and won the match.he did the same here.giving the ball to a rookie when he had bravo and morkel in the ranks.brave move by the captain, blah blah blah." thank god for not making these above mentioned things happen.

What you said is corrected, if both the matches had turned the other way around media would have said the opposite, but I just watch IPL for fun, it's just entertainment. Both the captains did what they taught was right at that moment but it turned otherwise ...

Yes you are right. The way the game is being played today has changed a lot. Dhoni thinking that everything he touches would turn gold, gave the ball to yomahesh, the debutant . Having bravo, jakathi and morkel to bowl he choosed yomahesh. This is just his overconfidence. Of course, his tactics with joginder sharma might have worked. But it was not his heroisn that won us the cup. It was Misbah zeroness in that shot. T20 can be a place for innovation of new heroes. But you cant produce a hero everyday nd everytime .

It is true that the final over in T20 world cup is balled by joginder sharma bat the fact is that India won that match by mistake of misbah ul haq and not by the bowling of joginder. Misbah had hit 2 sixes(i think) in that over and after that he went for a loose shot. So i think it is not a good idea to go with inexperienced bowlers in such a situation.

Mm.. Clever . But we know his tactics. He may turn one over and win a match. But thats not the case in test matches. Infact thats reflecting in our test matches . He need to be more cleverer than this to win test matches which shows real skill in captaincy. Agree na??

I think Kohli should not have bowled lately. I think if needs to bowl most probably should have bowled earlier. I think they are missing the fifth bowler really badly. I think the need some good all rounders and good bowlers in the team.

I really like your discussion. What you said is exactly true. If the result was on the other way then the people ( including commentators ) will praise the move by captain. But it dont happened and people are firing them.
