FB had already overtaken Friendster and others social sites. I have joined the FB later than many others had. At first, I just do not get why many are using it when it seemed to be just the same as other social sites. It offers the chance to see people we have not seen for a long time and to meet new people and make new friends. Many have already hooked to it. Posted photos are not all wholesome, huh! Games and other application have been entered by some of my friends and tried to invite me but I just really do not participate. Thus, their requests had been rejected. The influx of members at FB has been continuous and seemed to be unstoppable. I wonder though, are all these members of FB getting benefited of logging in always there? What is really the significance of this website FB?

i think mylot is so much better then facebook X10 better some people need to try a different site asides from fb as it is the least resourcefull one and seems to have most drama associated with it and the people on there seems as if have soething to prove to everyone wwith their own ego ..and there seems to be no signifgance to this site just connect people to lookk photos and read about how someone is upset their mom ate the last of thier vanilla ice cream lol just plain and dumb text ....but hey people love it lol i dont get it either.. jeje!! that's it.. You are right! I do not get the idea of simply telling something that seemed to be non sense or simply showing their moment of any sort of trying to emote. Flaunting new gadgets or showing their fave ice cream..lol.

Yeah Facebook is just one of those things where I never really warmed up to it all that much. It has its users and I'm sure many of them are having fun but to me, it really just seems to be a really big headache to me. And so much drama, drama to an absolute absurd degree. I don't like my personal life and my time on the Internet intermingling too much. And obviously the amount of malicious content spread through Facebook links tends to be something that just makes me a big kind of reluctant to rather get too close. It has grown to the point where we're seeing what happens when a website grows too much. It tends to be mostly unmanageable and just rather one big stream of huge headaches.

Hello, keshlois143 :) I have to be sure: by FB, you mean facebook, right? If that's the case, I too wonder why and how this explosion of facebook activity came into being. I think there came a point where facebook was kind of popular, but not more popular than other sites. Then, people started to prefer facebook over other social networking sites for a reason I don't know. And then there is a very important factor: Young people who have not yet joined their first social networking site. When facebook had reached a relatively high popularity, NEW people would choose it as their first choice of social networking, I think. Maybe they were introduced to the site by friends or relatives. At least this can explain how facebook came from popular site to SUPER popular site. When something is the prefered first choice, it's popularity increases exponentially because everyone is introduced to the site, and these new members introduce the site to their friends, and so on and so on. At least that's what I think. How facebook came from "unknown" to "a little known", I do not know, though. Greetings :)

Yes you are correct skizzer. I am refering to facebook, the site which seemed to be the most favorite of both adults and teens alike. Even kids try to indulge into it.
