We have heard stories of people who are used to western medicine who suddenly turns to natural remedies for their health. Is it because of the growing popularity of natural healing? Is it because they realize that using natural means in the long run would give greater benefits?

I think people use these type of medicines because of two things. It is natural therefore it is safe. And it less expensive than other type of medicines.

Yes, I think in most cases they won't have any side-effects, and if they do it will only be minimal and not dangerous to our health.

In addition to that, the effects of these natural remedies are long-term and nondestructive to our body compared to the synthesized medicine where they are convenient due to it's fast effects but just look at the cost of it in the long run not only to our pockets but also to our health.

I mean, "my other current doctor" in my last paragraph. You see, I went to at least a dozen doctors before I got to my last and current one where he was able to pin point the cause and treat me.

Natural rememdies have been around for centuries. People who are trying to go green will try to use these natural remedies. It is a good thing. Too bad more people aren't doing it. And taking it seriously. SOme people can't afford to utilize such remedies. They can be expensive. Unless you are able to grow the herbs yourself.

Yes, i think due to the high cost of living nowadays, we can save a lot of money by using natural remedies for our ailments. I know my father often tells us of his friends and acquaintances who are so faithful to their medical doctors that they won't listen to my father's advice of taking some natural remedies that we effectively use. It's sad because oftentimes my father told us those people often didn't get better at all...

Well, let me share you a story. As a baby me (and my siblings) have very frail health due to our family background where almost all kinds of sickness are already rampant and active in our blood. Ever since young, my mother worried over our health and due to this problem, she read and did her research on what to be done about our situation. Later, she found out that most people who took in herbal/natural treatments were able to stay healthy for a long period of time...not counting the "you stay young looking for a long period of time and other wonderful gifts you receive from nature". Ever since then, she turned our world upside down and made us intake herbal supplements. This indeed helped improve our immune system that our father never thought that we were sickly in the first place until we told him. He didn't believe at first, we were forced to stop our intake of these supplements because he won't fund it. And slowly, our health diminished. One by one we got more sick than ever and it was only just recently, when he saw me go down with fever, that he finally understood how dangerous it would be for us to get sick. We'll be bed-ridden for weeks or months. And it can cause us our life. When he finally had a general idea of how our health is frail, we returned to herbal treatment. Lately, when I had my latest health problem, I thought I was a goner until I was brought to a chiropractor. No more medical doctors for me anymore unless if it really is a must for me to go into surgery where they have to open me up. Hope this is helpful information. Have a nice day and Happy MyLotting!

simple, natural remedies are proven to work even if those doctors say they dont work. Also those prescription medicines and antibiotics have side effects that will basically haunt you when you are older. and look The lifespan of Asian countries are longer because of those herbal medicines . Then some people also said they lost all of the pain in their body ever since they tried raw vegan diet.

I think many spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars to look younger. Lucky are those people who naturally look much younger than their age without ever having the need to spend a lot of money :D I know for one that Koreans eat a lot of vegetables because their dishes usually includes vegetables ( I teach English to Koreans online, that's why I knew that ). They do have younger-looking appearance compared to their actual age and could have been the healthiest people in all the world...but due to their stressful lifestyle ( too much studies and work lifestyle and always hurrying up ), many people develop cancer in that country. I hope they would learn how to slow down a bit to minimize this problem. You have pointed out CaptAlbertWhisker that doctors discourages the use of natural remedies, and I think they do this mainly because they don't want to lose customers. Imagine how much they spend to finish their doctorate degree and found out most people don't go to their office because they would rather go to the oriental or natural doctor's office.

The more you are close to nature, the more nature will love your body. That is true, Asians have wonderful and healthy bodies because they eat natural foods and use natural medicines--and they look younger too. One wouldn't have thought that a Korean girl is 30 already just by looking at her. There was this one actress, I thought she was still in her early 20s and man, did her confession knocked me off my seat. She's already 34 years old! Just imagine what one wouldn't give to look like 20 if you're already 30! Young for a long time.
