How can I overcome my hate for raisins in cookies.

When I saw this "Cookie" in my interest lists; I remembered a scenario that I eventually stop eating for cookies once in awhile. I once hate myself for buying a cookie in the market without checking it if it has raisins or not. And when I ate it; I wasn't satisfied that I gave it to a stray dog. I don't know why they're making cookies with raisins. I can't; after all attempts of eating it, I can't appreciate it. I hate the prune's citrusy thing added to a chocolate or cookie. I really can't understand. Do you love those cookies with raisins? If you do; how did you find them so far? Can I forced myself to eat cookies with raisin? I really don't get it to be honest. please let me know your feedback. Whether it is postive or you find me funny or stupid so far. Please and thanks.

Grapes that have been slaughtered and left to die in the desert heat become corpses of raisins. Yeah, I can see why you don’t like them but I’ve always ate dried fruit because sometimes fresh is not available year round due to the climate. I think it is ok though to choose your delight and if cookie without certain ingredients is your thing maybe stay with it. Send me the crumbs.

Whoah..poor grapes. They need to die for nothing when it comes to my taste. Maybe I'm not the only one who's NOT appreciating raisins on cookies. Does anyone feels the same way?

It takes me time to pick it out one by one as I remembered. And the moment i ate them; that tangy flavor that doesn't match to the cookie are still there. I ended up feeding the whole pack to the dog. Some lucky stray dog =)

I hate cookies with raisins too, and can't explain why, it's so weird. I feel like picking them out and eat the cookies without them. They just taste so different than the rest of the cookie. What is stranger is that I can eat raisins without anything, but not once it was put in the food.

Yeah. I also don't like raisins. Better yet I'll eat an oreo cookie. This is my favorite. hehehe You can force yourself to eat those cookies because the raisins are only a tiny part of the cookie. hehehe

Thank YOU for sharing those thoughts with me. I really don't find it fit for a cookie to have raisins all over it. If that was a fruitcake; I maybe able to appreciate it because it has another fruits to come with in the cake or dough.\ But not with cookies =/

Where I live we have always had raisin cookies as long as I remember and I suppose if you like raisins I'm sure they're very good. I myself, don't mind eating raisins by themselves SOME times but I agree with you. I absolutely do NOT enjoy them in cookies or muffins or anything else! Probably because I am a picky eater. There have been multiple times where I have went to eat a. what I thought was a chocolate chip cookie, and it turned out to be a raisin cookie!!! That's happened to me so many times because the raisins and chocolate chips look so similar. If you don't look at them up close, they're easily mistaken. Every time I ate a raisin cookie without realizing it, I would spit it out as soon as I tasted a raisin lol. But like I said above, just because I'm a picky eater and don't enjoy raisin cookies, doesn't mean somebody else can't. People do like them or they wouldn't make them, someone who likes raisins would enjoy them! Thanks for sharing and letting me express my opinions on raisin cookies lol. & Of course no one thinks you're stupid!! Never think that of yourself, always think positive AND surround yourself with positive people. Life's too short to think about the negative :) Hope to chat again in a future discussion!

Exactly. There you go. That makes us sooo inconvenient on our part. We won't be enjoying commercial cookies so much because most of the cookies released in the marker has raisins. Better off with the home-made ones. ^___^-) Happy mylotting; raisin hater~! Hope to enjoy mylotting with you more about raisin-free food aside from cookies.

Well yes, I think home made cookies are the best! Soo yummy and fresh! And yes, I do agree there are a lot of raisin cookies in the markets. Just be careful and double check what kind of cookie you get before you buy it and you should be able to avoid them! & you never know, there may be plenty more raisin/non-raisin discussions yet to come! You just never know ;) lol.. Happy myLotting to you as well :)

Seems everyone has a problem with raisins here! I do to! I just can't eat them in cookies. They just don't seem to "chew" very well! They are hard and just dont' chew and end up just swallowing the hard little thing! And flavor? None!!! Now, granted I am talking about store bought cookies...I tried once or twice homemade with the raisins..but they are just not, in my opinion, a good addition to a cookie! It is almost like the raisin takes out the sweetness that should be in the cookie!
