My friend and a friend of her tried the last year a lot of "natural" ways to keep fleas away. (she can't afford to try remedies against ticks because they carry Babesiosis - a deadly disease if untreated) Nothing seemed to work: lemon juice, lavender oil, vinegar, mint, garlic... the fleas were like invincible. Now she uses again chemical products to keep those pests away. I'd love to find out something "natural" that works against fleas and ticks. My friend would be more than happy to use a natural way to fight fleas and ticks.

Well I don't know if it is completely natural, but every month my dog gets a flea 'dip'. Basically it is just a special kind of shampoo. We don't give her anything else like pills or shots, just the bath and it seems to work out well.

A old neighbor gave me some aloe vera plant, and told me to extract the fluid from it and apply it to the dog after a bath, just leave it dry up, no need to rinse, and it seemed to have worked. In addition, it added some shine on its coating. My dog seem to stopped scratching which he usually does.
