When you are riding in a jeepney and someone steps on your foot no matter how you try to avoid getting stepped on (not sure of the term lol)? I have stepped on someone else's food as well but I say SORRY. But they didn't .. It happened to me today, well not just today. It happened to me so many times already. Earlier, a kid, an old lady, a woman and my BOYFRIEND stepped on my foot. How clumsy .

Hahaha, I have to say, while reading your discussion, I was laughing. First is getting stepped on a moving vehicle. It has happened to so many times coz I always wear flip flops, they're quite comftable. I really hate that. Most of them don't even say sorry. Arrgghh. Second is when some one is reading your text message while they're sitting beside you, that's just invasion of privacy. I mean, come on! Also, the hair. This funny incident when me and my dad were on a jeepney, the girl next to him had long hair. When we took off, the hair flew through dad's mouth and he kinda screamed at the girl saying "Hey you, I'm eating your hair! Fix it for God's Sake!" Ahahahaha. I couldn't stop laughing 'til we got home. It was so funny. Well these things happen to us in most days, but we can't let it ruin our mood. Just rant about it for a few minutes then laugh about it later. Lol.

You're right. But there are times that you can't stop thinking about it? But yea, I didn't let that incident ruin my day. Good thing I'm not really in a bad mood earlier.. I decided to just let it slip and enjoyed shopping with my bf. And what you said about your dad eating a girl's hair was soooo funny. I can't imagine the look on his face.. What did the girl do lol? Did she even say sorry or she just ignored your dad? What was your initial reaction? Were you angry or you really just laughed?

I actually just laughed right away, I couldn't help it especially when I was also beside a friend J. We were on our way to do groceries. We couldn't help ourselves, even when we got down from the vehicle, the laughing lasted for like hours. The girl didn't had much of a reaction, she just fixed her hair a bit. Lol.

"Hey you, I'm eating your hair! Fix it for God's Sake!" Boy, I just love that! Let me use that sentence if ever this think happens to me again!

I can feel your sentiments chrisica_angella. I get mad when people "accidentally" do those things and then they look at you as if nothing happened. And in some cases, this is the worst of all, they won't even utter the word sorry. Even if they did, in some cases, you can feel that they don't mean what they said. That's really annoying. I hate it when you're in a jeepney then all of a sudden, someone beside you, or near you sneezes without covering his or her mouth. That's really disgusting. Just one of my few unpleasant memoirs.:)

Yea, gross as hell! :( It didn't only happen once, it happened to me like a couple of times already. It makes me wanna throw up everytime I remember it.. I agree with that as well. They always stick to the number of people they think that will fit on each side not taking into consideration the sizes of the passengers. I know they want to get much but they should think about the passengers if they are comfortable or not..

Yea lol. I mean, there are so many jeepneys, why force themselves in a very full one .
29 Apr 12
I totally agree with you. The comfort of the passengers should be a priority as well. :) Oh! A usual setting in the jeepney came across my mind. I hate it when some passengers insist you move so that they will have enough space. There are really lots of complaints/ sentiments when riding a jeepney.:))

I think i have experienced all these things before. And YES, I really do hate it..a lot ! Especially when you just came out of a parlor newly cleaned toe nails, the manicure maybe dry but the pain after getting the in-grown nails still hurts when suddenly a clumsy person gets inside the jeepney and without watching its step accidentally steps on your toes.. If my toes could talk back, they surely will be shouting at that person. Darn, I really hate it and after they have settled in their seat, it just seems like nothing happened and they even apologize for it. Oh, how I really wish to strangle its hair..yes, I am so mean but that one hurts! I have tried asking a girl once to get her hair out of my face. Not being mean, but I really said, girl your hair doesn't taste good, so please take it off my face! She said sorry of course, she got ashamed maybe that was why she apologize, the jeepney was halfway full that time. She may have a beautiful hair, but it doesn't taste beautiful! !

That is really my problem with my toe nails. The in-growns grows fast and it lies very deep in my toe nails. I have to really go to the parlor if our personal person who cleans our nails can't go to our house for home service. I have to really get it out every other week or else it will be hard to remove.

Ingrown nails! They're nasty.. And they hurt like HELL! That's the reason why I won't go to the parlor anymore. I do it myself after my toenail looked like a "chorizo" because there was still an ingrown nail left inside.. I asked my besfriend's mom to remove it for me without any anesthesia lol.. I can feel all my blood rushing through my face cause I held my breath so hard just to ease the pain.. And I tried to not let anyone step on my foot cause I might kill them when that happens. Riding a jeepney was a challenge but the good thing was, people were careful during that time. Hahah good for her! She should be ashamed of herself LOL. She deserved it.. Yea, hairs doesn't taste good at all. And it's gross.. Imagine all the dust and germs it gets from our environment.. Ewww..

Ahww :(. I'm sorry to hear that. I can imagine the pain it brings everytime you have it removed. Thank God mine is not like that anymore.

I hate it, there are few times that they stepped on my foot, but I also hate is when they know that they feet might step on by new passenger and yet they do not try to move it. You know it's hard to walk inside the jeepney so I hope that they will make it easier to ramp. There are numerous happenings inside jeepney and I have many many bad experiences. As for looking when someone texting, I am one of them, sometimes I really forgot that I shouldn't look at other's phone, it's unintentional.

It's completely unintentional, I really need to get rid of that [habit]. Most of the time I am fond of the cellphone unit they are using that's why I can't stop looking at the phone. Anyway have you experienced those people who does not even bother to extend their hands for the transpo fare? Or those who sits with pose while the other part of the bench is almost sits 1/4. The worst is exhibitionist and the smelly person. I can't stand those! sorry!

Ahh I see.. now I understand :). I did experience those things as well. They shouldn't take a jeepney if they don't like to pass a fare to the driver .

Yea I agree with that. Especially on smaller jeepneys. It's so hard to walk inside and it's hard not to step on someone's foot as well :(. And thank you for being honest as well. I haven't really tried that cause I value ones privacy but I know you didn't mean it ;). Just be careful next time..

Haha, that is what usually happens in a public transport... What i hate is when i go in and people don't move their legs, especially those guys with long legs, so it really makes it harder not to step on anyones foot. I also don't like people who like to sit slanting, facing the wind..especially when the jeep is a bit crowded already.. And of course, girls who don't care where their hair is going..i rarely experience that though, but being hit by a hair hurts too.

yes, I totally hate that to -raising my vice when passing the fare- people should be aware of their surrounding since i do not like tapping people just to pass my fare.they are so not considerate.
• Philippines
27 Apr 12
Damn right! People should learn to move their legs as they are not the only ones who are in the jeepney. I'm sure they won't like it if that happens to them. And for people who like to sit slanting, I'll tap their legs to straighten up.. And yes, getting hit by someone's hair hurts especially when it hits your eyes.. Another thing I hate is when you ask someone to pass the fare to the driver. God, some people are really good at ignoring you.. They should take a taxi if they don't want to accept it and pass to the driver .

Yea, I hate being tapped by someone as well. So when I hear someone asking for his/her fare to be passed to the driver, I will look into his/her direction and get it so no need for tapping ;)

I've also experienced these things a lot of times. I've always been a victim actually. A lot of times, my foot always gets stepped on. Especially when I'm riding on a jeepney, and I hate it most when people don't say sorry. Most of the time, when someone steps on my foot, I would intentionally say "Ouch" loudly so the person stepping on me would hear it and would then apologize. I've tried doing this several times already since the first time I got stepped on, I just kept quiet even though the person stepping on me knew what happened. And you know what he did? He just laughed! And I got very mad that I asked him, "Is there something funny?". That's when he apologized, and he never dared to look at me right after that. lol. I would say that was quite an experience I would never forget. That's something I'd do to teach careless and clumsy people a lesson! .

WOW! He sure knows how to annoy people.. Good thing you did that to him. I wanted to try on stepping on the person's foot who just stepped on mine without saying sorry at all and see how he/she reacts lol.. But I'm not that mean =D.. Well, actually I did it once. I stepped on a conductor's (conductor in a public vehicle) foot cause he was so annoying. Everytime he sees a passenger, he hits the back part of the jeepney so hard that it can give you a heart attack! So what I did when I arrived at my destination was, I stepped on his foot so hard and walked away smiling.. I know it's mean but what he did was very annoying and most of us are complaining but he didn't bother .

Haha it actually felt good. I had my revenge.. I know it's bad but he made me do it lol. My boyfriend laughed so hard when he saw that conductor's reaction..

That was amazing. That sure is another way to teach people to be careful and more sensitive sometimes. I would really say that I'm not that mean though. But when the situation requires me to and when my patience is over, then that person causing me trouble would definitely be sorry. ^^

ahaha well, i do try to avoid being stepped on the jeep because i usually try to keep my feet away from the middle part where people would be walking. Second i do not think someone would be able to read what i am texting, i like my fonts small and well usually i do not text in public vehicles, and when i do - it is really something important, but i would usually have both of my hands on the cellular phone - which can partly cover the screen. I am used to texting that way. =) I never try to look at someone's phone when they text i would not even be comfortable with friends telling me to look at this and that in their cell phones - i really value one person's privacy. What I really hate in jeepneys or in public transportation is that when its raining, and people has their umbrellas dripping with rain water - i hate to have my feet wet so when someone is really not careful, they usually would be dripping water on your shoes, right? and often times, there are those who are already in the jeep and is still trying to close their umbrellas!

Yep that's what I do. I keep my feet away from the middle part but there really are clumsy people who still steps on your foot even when you already tiptoed .

Those things were my topics when i was still beginning here at Mylot. And i can say that i can truly relate on them, because i have experienced them myself, except for being watched on what i am texting. If ever, i would definitely tell that man "please mind your own businees".

Yea, everyone can relate to this. Although this is not the most horrible experience we ever had, it's still a very annoying one lol. You're right, I would definitely do that if ever I'm the one texting and someone is reading my texts.

I started laughing at the point where you were saying you tasted someone's hair. I'm sorry but it was kind of funny, not sure if you meant it that way but having long hair myself most of my life it does get kind of all over the place at times when it's windy. I hope I never had it someone's face to taste it though, that would be gross. But anyways yea those things are kind of irritating, I agree. The texting and someone looking over your shoulder and someone stepping on your foot. The foot thing happened to me today as I was in the store and someone in front of me stepped on my shoe. Its a good thing I had my sturdier kind of shoe boots on as I didn't feel it much.

Hahah all good. It was indeed funny but I was really annoyed that time. I have long hair as well but I keep it clamped when I ride a jeepney. I don't want my hair get to someone's face cause I know how it feels. And yea, it would be gross .. Good for you on not getting hurt at all, I wore flipflops so it hurts big time .

Oh, I love those thoughts. I can't help but giggle while I remember my own share of those experiences. I'm ill tempered, and when those things happen to me, I hate it when I can't show them how mad I am. As much as possible, I don't want to get in to arguments or a fight, so I just try to stretch my patience a bit more. The stepping thing, also happens a lot in the moviehouse. I just hate that.

Yea, everyone hates it.. And yea, I agree with you. We just have to stretch our patience more cause I know most of them don't mean to step on our foot.
