hello friends, Garlic has very strong odour, which we cant resist, but there are many benefits of eating garlic in our daily food. one of the most important fact/benefit is , if two/three garlic pods are taken every day before meals( garlic pods slightly fried in oil/butter, and then eaten atleast one hour before meal) is very good for health. infact it is said that , it wont allow the bad cholesterol to develop in our body and also , we wont gain our weight , inspite of how much we eat... DO any one know any other benefits of garlic, which can be either our ancestral tips....

yes there are many benefits of using garlic , i think the old generation people used to use the garlic a lot , but as the time passed we neglected it, as we are more fond of junk food.

I use garlic powder (different from garlic salt) in cooking, for including in raw dishes, and, often, just by itself. But I'm going to make sure to pick up some heads of garlic next time I go shopping. It's just a really good-for-you kind of food with a very yummy taste! Have you ever sprinkled garlic powder on popcorn instead of salt or used it in place of salt when making mashed potatoes? How about putting some slices of it on buttered bread? YUM!!!

Hi Prashu 228, Garlic has various medicinal values & qualities. Though it has strong odour, it works as antibiotic. If you eat two to three pods naturally daily you will never have cardiac problem. It is true that it does not allow to increase bad cholesterol, fats, etc.

One great health benefit of garlic can be: Take one to two cloves of garlic early in the morning after getting up and swallow raw.It is good for acidity and people with gas problems. Another use of garlic is for people who have slow growth of hand and toe nails. Rub a paste of garlic on finger tips(both hand and toes) .This not only helps in making nails stronger but also for faster nail growth.
