Is wrestling scripted?

I myself is a huge fan of wrestling. I enjoy their stunts and the tension that I feel whenever I watch WWE. My personal favorite is John Cena. Recently, I have heard that WWE is just scripted? Is this true? I mean, how can they do that because all the punches and the kick seem so real.

yes it is scripted, but still i enjoy watching it. My favorite is stone cold. after he left off course ,now my favorite is John Cena. i like his style very much . There are many articles written on this , and even many programmes are shown , regarding this. The whole scenario appears to be real ,but its not, of course, to appear to be real, and there lies all the trick , about how they maintain the whole thing...but anyways its just awesome...instead of watching a movie i like to spend my time watching a WWE match....what do you say....

wrestling may be scripted but in my opinion you cannot fake getting a chair slammed on your back or jumping into a table you learn how to take it but your still gonna feel the pain.....but yea the events are planned

I think so, I read it online or watched it on this show that it is scripted and that the ring isn't that hard, it easily bounces and there is a sound effect there. it's called acting since it's just for entertainment.

Yes it is scripted, sometimes the person losing the match is the better wrestler. Because its scripted wrestlers are not allowed to injure their opponents (its more like a partner) Have you ever wonder why some wrestlers are villains at certain point of their career and suddenly they were the good guy...vice versa. Heroic Wrestlers are called Babyface or Face Villanous Wrestlers are called Heels Neutral Wrestlers are called Tweeners Face Wrestlers who always win Matches are called Star Heel Wrestlers who never lose matches are called Heels Wrestlers who always lose matches are called Jobbers. Wrestlers who wins matches but only loses to stars are called Jobber of the stars ---- John Cena is not a good Wrestler, he just win matches because he is popular to kids. Wrestlers win matches depends on charisma not skill.

wwe is 10000% scripted and it is all a big fake but we still enjoy watching it in the last years it became so obvious that wwe is a fake specially your superstar john cena in his YOU CANT SEE ME move he doesnt touch the head at all but the camera changes the position to hide this also if you think about it why players dont fall to the rope except in reymysterio's matches to finish them and a lot of this which appears to silly to be believed like sheamus and bryan match in wrestlemania look at this video and tell me where did his hands hit :D? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89X3g47cplE

Of course it was scripted, but the moves that are being executed is real, there are some mechanics to make it safer. I mean they have practiced all of the routines in the show for years just to make the things safe and convincingly legit as possible.

Yes wrestling is scripted but the moves carried out by the wrestlers in the ring often take years of experience to master to be able to conduct these moves in a 'safer' way. After all, no one wants to be seriously hurt after a match although there have been numerous cases when such things happen. This could be due to poorly executed or poorly timed moves, or the use of equipment such as ladders and tables. Bear in mind that these equipment are customised by the WWE to minimise any possible injury.
