Putting Effort Into Google Adsense - Is It Worth The Effort?

I personally do not know of any webmasters who are making a profit by using Google Adsense on sites they own. There have been tales of webmasters making money by using Google Adsense, but those webmasters also pay for Google Adwords, and a few other services that Google provides. I would sincerely like to hear from any webmaster, or any one that is using Google Adsense that has made a profit from using their ads. Is it worth the effort to use Google Adsense?
