A God You can Trust

"But the man who loves God is known by God" -1 Corinthians 8:3 I really had an awesome quiet time today. I never thought I could have an awesome time like this and never kept in mind I would understand how God continuously gives himself for me to feel loved. One thing I'm sure of is this -- this is a helpful guide from God. I'm so grateful for the book I borrowed from a friend way back 2008. I'm learning a lot of things about God. It's more than a book -- an epitome of knowledge, somehow, which makes me want to ask for more -- more of God -- of knowing God. The title of my lesson is: A GOD YOU CAN TRUST Have you ever asked yourself where God is when faced with a difficult situation? When the lifeboat leaks? When the parachute won't open? What is God doing? Does God even care? You're not the first one to feel this. "We don't want you to be uninformed, brothers about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life." -2 Corinthians 1:8 "Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles; hardships and distresses; in beatings; imprisonments and riots; in hard work; in sleepless nights and hunger..." - 2 Corinthians 6:4-5 See, even Paul and other disciples experienced that. "That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." - 2 Corinthians 12:10 They responded well. They put their trust in God. Like with Moses, seeing the Egyptians coming them made them (with the Israelites) feel scared that others wanted to just go back and be enslaved again. However, I appreciated what Moses told his people. "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." - Exodus 14:14 When you don't know what to do, it's just best to sit down and pray until God does things. It takes trust. Surrender everything to Him. Allow God to take the lead. It's all you can do. Difference between escape and deliverance? When you escape, you do it by yourself but when you are delivered, someone else does it for you and you just follow. "He takes care of his people like a shepherd, he gathers them like lambs in his arms and carries them close to him. He gently leads the mothers of the lambs." - Isaiah 40:11 Entrust yourself to God. His job is to fight, your job is to trust. His care is enough. His power is great for those who believe. (Ephesians 1:19) Thank you for giving me the opportunity to reflect on this. I hope this helps you in your battle. God is gracious!! I want to hear from you, too! You can share.. :)

I only trust God. For I know that he will never abandon me. When I'm at my lowest point, I seek for his guidance. He's the only one who can help me. With God, I am safe.
