Phone and Train, first time in the world

Last april 27, 2o12, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and Masabi US Ltd, have introduced to the public in the new method of giving ticket to passengers of train. Now, they can use this new phone technology to produce tickets. Amazing... Is there any part of the world uses this technology? how about in your country?

My country is about 30-50 years behind yours in technology. Ticket, whatever it is (train, bus, airplane) will make most people get stressed. Specially in weekend, hollyday or long vacations.

I believed people is used to, but sooner this creeping technology will come to your county, soon.
