Do you make your pies the day before thankasgiving?

I am making my pies and cakes tomorrow (wed).. i am messuring everything for the dry ingred today and labeling them. i am snapping all the g. beans and getting them in the crock pot on low.. washing the collard greens and getting them in the crock on low... tomorrow i do all the chopping and prep.. that way everything will run smoothly on Thurs.

I make most of my pies the day/night before. The only pies I make Thanksgiving day are the chocolate ones, basically because if I make them early everyone eats them!!! lol

No I make my pies on thanksgiving morning. They seem to be eaten better when they are fresher. I like mine right out of the oven.

It is always best to get as much of the prep work done the day before. Then it goes really great and you aren't stuck in the kitchen all day.

Most years I make my pies the night before and then of course we eat some that night, some that morning and by after dinner we have enough to finish up and wish we had more! Can you say oink oink? LOL
