A whole new look at being grateful...

Hello, to all of myLot. Today I was chatting with a dear friend, and she came to the conclusion that I have been allowing life to rob me of my happiness. I remember a discussion I started a while back about this very subject, yet, I guess that it ended up in the bottom of my list of things to remember. I have noticed that my last 4 discussions have been really whiny and I have decided to "man up" as the term goes. We all go through life with hardships, and as someone said, "every one has a story that will break your heart." In other words what she was saying was, "grow up". She lives in the Philippines and is a good friend to my fiancee, with very little money, working hard to provide for herself and her family. I thought about how childish and ridiculous I must have sounded to her when I told her about these discussions. I mean, just look at what I said in one about how I was sad that not even my friends made a comment. I think that with how humble she is, I felt like an ungrateful moron. Have you ever thought that you had it bad and later realized that you were only fooling yourself? I have to tell you, I have a whole new appreciation for those who really do have it hard, and just go through their day with a smile on their face. Its easy to be a ungrateful, but try being humble for one day. Thanks for joining me in this discussion, and I hope that you all have a wonderful day. Keep smiling...

Hello friend, I neither knew your problem nor read your old post honestly. But this post made me to stop here to leave comments. As you started to think that it is not wise to be thinking down, you are in the right path in your life. Sooner you will find best solutions for your problems. Everyone of us here in the world have problem. If we don't have we are not living.

Yes, very true, and thank you for leaving a comment. I am very grateful for these very wonderful people in my life. They get me to say that I have such small issues compared to so many others around the world. Thanks you viji_v2, for your response, and I hope that you have a great day.

For me the picture of a starving mom with a skeletal-like baby keeps appearing in my mind. That puts me in place everytime. I am glad you have a friend like that, they are valuable.
