hi friends.something weird happened a few days ago. i went to the beach with one of my friends. we decided to use the train to get home. my friend sat infront of me and after a minute or 2,he dozed off. i kept counting the number of stations left. i planned to wake him when the train reaches our place and give him an earful about sleeping on train. i dont know how it happened but the moment the train stopped,he woke up as if someone punched him awake and got down while i pondered how it happened. there goes my rant.

He may have been woken by the sound of the train stopping or it was just instinct.. Sometimes people just wake up by themselves.. Maybe he rode the train before and his body knew how long it takes to reach the destination.

he went to that place using train may be a couple of time.we usually ride in our bike. i checked him at every stop to see if there is any sign of waking up but no.

Maybe he does this all the time. it could be he sleeps light on the train and kind of wakes up after every stop, enough to know when to get up to get off the train itself. Oh well there went your fun, but I'd ask him how he did it.

How long was the journey? Some people tend to begin dozing off when they go somewhere by train. This habit recently resulted in a tragic accident with a man who was coming to our hometown from a city to attend a marriage function here. After the accident one of his co travelers told me that he had fallen asleep and before that he had requested the co travelers to wake him up when the train arrived his destination;our hometown. The train was a super fast express and its stoppage at our hometown is only a couple of minutes. As the train arrived here and his co travelers woke him up,he picked up his briefcase and rushed towards the door of the compartment.By then the train had left and caught speed. In the hangover of sleep he committed a fatal mistake.Instead of alighting in the direction the train was running,he got off the compartment in the opposite direction. The result: his body was dragged in between the railway track and cut to several pieces.

I think you and your friend had a happy time at the beach and got rather tired. Therefore your friend slept on the train and you were understandably concerned that you might not be able to get him to wake up before arriving at your home station. You also worried he might be annoyed at you giving him an ear full about sleeping on the train. It was so strange he woke up naturally just at the time the train arrived. In 2005 I went on a trip to the Maldives. Coming back home I had delightfully had a free upgrade on the flight from Male to London. It was the evening the time I arrived back on British soil. I was exhausted carrying my heavy luggage on the trip on different trains home. I nodded off to sleep and was lucky to wake up because I was jet lagged. I was so silly not to walk home from my nearest station. It would have been a twenty five minute walk with heavy luggage. Instead I thought go to town and get a taxi through it had been carnival night. Many people were in the taxi office and I waited hours even more tired. Due to it being in the middle of the night I didn't want to phone my mom. In the end I shared the taxi back home with three other people. What a night.

He slept but it is not a deep sleep, so that he still know which train stop whenever the train got in. It is not strange when he woke up at the time the train stopped. I used to be like that also

There are people like this who have this magical talent :). I mean, I saw not once people sleeping waking up exactly before their stations on the underground :)
