I watched a tv show today called my big fat weight loss story and a guy lost 113 pounds in 6 months, with no supplements it was all exercise and cutting back on food. I was so inspired by this because I actually need to lose 110 pounds to get down to my ideal weight. I just know that I have to cut back. I have stop eating so late and I have to eat right. I have to make my self exercise. Ugh that is something that I have a huge issue with because I can't afford to go to the gym. So has anyone lost this kind of weight like this before what did you do, do you ahve any advice for someone wanting to do the same.

The biggest weight I have lost so far was 70 lbs in 8 months. I started dieting when I reached 210lbs, and then I decided that I need to go back to the real me who is slim and very active. I exercise a lot and cut back on food, especially rice and sodas. I am very prone to allergies so I cannot really take slimming pills, so I need to do it the hard way, but I am okay with it. It was a drastic change in my lifestyle and it was really hard at first, but then once I got the hang of it, I am on a roll.

This sounds very close the situation I am in. I need to lose it for my health. But exercising it just seems so hard. I know i have to motivate myself..But doing that is hard as well.

113lbs in 6 months is a lot to ask for no matter what your start weight is. You should think about the fact that big fat weight loss story is a Tv show with personal trainers and nutrition guides. Most people don't have those so it is usually a struggle for them to obtain those kind of numbers in that amount of time. Also starting weight means a lot. If a person starts at 500lbs sure they could lose that amount weight in that amount of time, but for a person who is closer to normal like say in the 200s it will be harder. Also men loss weight faster than women. I'm sorry for being such a negative nancy, I just don't want you to get disappointed and quit if the numbers arent changing the way you want them to. I know that has ruined a lot of my diets.

This is a great story, and I am sure that the guy feels a lot better about himself now that he has lost that amount of weight, however I don't think that anybody should lose that much weight in such a short period of time, because it is not something that he would be able to maintain once he had stopped dieting. I have lost 93 pounds in the past year and a half, and I know that I am going to be able to keep the weight off when I finish dieting. It is a much better way to lose it like this, as it is much more maintainable.

i have put on a lot of weight after i got married. when i look at my old photos, i'm shocked at how tubby i am now. i wasn't exactly slim before marriage either but i definitely was not this tubby. i know i have to start exercisin' and havin' a better diet but it's so hard. i did do a low carb diet once. did it for 2 years and i was of a decent weight. i stayed away from rice, noodles, pasta and bread. i did take potatoes coz i can't say no to them. i just can't. :p perhaps i should start again but bein' on such a diet is time consumin' and expensive coz i end up havin' to search for food that don't have the taboo items or when i go out, havin' to eat more of protein etc to make up for the lack of carbs.

I have no idea for loosing weight because i am slim. However i heard that it is not easy to loose weight in a short time except you have to take diet, do exercise and sleep on time. It is really hard, i think but if you really want, i think you can do it. Good luck!

I have never had to lose that much weight but I know it can be done. They say we are suppose to take 10,000 steps a day. Maybe starting to walk some will help get you in the mood. I used to exercise all the time but quit for some dumb reason and I can sure tell it. I do way too much sitting. Just put your mind in the right frame of mind and you can do it. Shall we walk :)

My weight have been constant for quite long time and I have never found myself in a situation where I really needed to lose extra weight. I believe you can be able to achieve your desired weight but only if you are determined and focused. One thing that can help you in losing weight is eating a well balanced diet within your caloric needs. Do not skip your meals.
