I think that it is very important that we always do our best in work, because the way in which we do our job has a huge impact upon what people think about us. If we always make sure that we are doing a good job, then we know that our colleagues would only have nice things to say about us if they had to make a comment for whatever reason. I always do my best even if I don't like my job at the time, and I help those people who are working around me if there is any way that I am able to do so, because I know that if the fortunes were reversed I would hope that they would choose to do the same for me.

Yeah that's true but we also have to remember that we couldn't please all people. Therefore, in a workplace you have to expect pros and cons.

I think that doing a good job at work is really important because you develop a reputation. Good or bad. To see what I mean, take a look at someone at your job who is trusted and respected because of the good job they do (every job has one of these people). They get raises and promotions, one would hope, but more than that, they may even enjoy their jobs. It's a fact that if you really enjoy your job, it then becomes easy to do a good job because in your mind, it's not really work. It's a love affair. What I mean is suppose you love to draw and paint (artwork), but you work in a Law Office, or a Bank. You are simply just existing at this place of work, and you're working your butt off. Then through your love of art, you've managed to get noticed and you're offered a job doing art, and you accept that job offer. Imagine that. Someone wants to pay you for what you love to do. Sounds like a dream, doesn't it? If you're not doing a good job at work, chances are that you're in the wrong career. Take some kind of aptitude test to determine what skills and interests you have and when you figure that out, go to school for that truly heartfelt interest, and suddenly you won't ever have to work again. Because when you love what you do, it's not work anymore. It's play.
