hi! I just want to share this simple steps in how you may extend household batteries. We all know batteries does not emit carbons when we use it. But you know what? its production processes, shipping, and recyling process does emits carbons a lot. What makes it green is when it is in your hands or when it is being used. It will be your responsibility now to take care of it before they will be sent to recyclers. Here is how. First: Buy rechargeable batteries. Second: Charge them before it's too late. Third: Use the right battery for the job. Fourth: remove them from seldom-used devices. Last: Put batteries in the fridge.

Hi there. Thanks for sharing these tips. I'm quite familiar with the first four (4) tips you have enumerated here. But frankly, this is the first time I've heard about putting batteries in the fridge in order to prolong its life. Is it a proven technique? Have you ever done it yourself? I'm quite skeptical to try this 5th tip because I believe this would destroy the battery since it would develop moist. Anyway, welcome to mylot and I do hope you'll love this community.
