I would say that you should always put the kids first, no matter what. And most importantly, Be optimistic, create a light and fun envirnoment surrounding yourself and your home as you do, this will also contribute to creating and nurturing a more joyful child. Whereas, being all doom and gloom, might make your children feel the same way, and grow up become solemn and serious. Dont break in due to do pressure, caving in when hard times roll by is a definite 'no-no' for mommy. The mother needs to be strong for her children and hopeful that everything will turn out okay. That way you will feel more confident about handling any situation as well, and it's beneficial psychological effects will take its toll on your state of mind and your perspective. Try and help your children with everything, whether it's homework or other activities. Spend more quality time with them, cuddle up with your children as you watch television, and if they refuse than simply tell them that it's important. And they will start to get used to it eventually. Ask them to share their feelings with you if something is bothering them, and discuss and resolve matters in the most uncomfortable and realistic way possible, as in, if it's a bully at school, try not to do something that would embarass them. Thats all the pointers I can give for now. HAPPY MYLOTTING, JZIAKHAN.
