This is the seventh time that it hangs on me and I need to retype evrything again to post my topic in mylot. This time this is not about the internet or wifi access, this is about my netbook that keeps on hanging on me even that this is brand new. I purchased a new netbook to replace my old not-so-working fast Samsung Sens Tell me if it is because of the memory, specs and programs that I have installed in. Let me know how to improve my netbook's working performance (Kinda hate typing now since I have been doing it for the past 45 minutes of reposting again and again as I shut it off and turning it back on; keeps on hanging and there goes th cycle!) Thanks and happy mylotting about your gadget tips. ^_^-)

You should try to install some antivirus and system care applications. Try to uninstall unneeded softwares. Scan your computer at least once per week. Update the antivirus at least once per month. Don't easily download files. If you download some files, try to scan them before using or opening the file even it's from a trusted provider. Try to delete history after browsing the internet. Make sure your disk space has large unused space. Look for your RAM size. A 2GB RAM is quite good and works fine. You should also treat your computer like a human. You should try to minimize its tasks. Don't do multitasking too much. Try to close any running application that you don't need as much as possible. Don't overuse it. Try to give your computer some rest a little while. Hope you'll learn something from me.

Just to add something. Maybe you should try to use a lower version of your current OS. If your Processor is i3 then it will be fine if you use Windows 7 but if your processor is lower than i3, you should try using some lower version like Windows XP. I have a friend and he's a computer technician, he said that lower version of OS can minimize the use of your processor.

First, look at your specs of your netbook. Does it have a higher cpu memory? Mine is 1.66Ghz. That's good enough. Maybe you haven't maintained your netbook for a long time. Your netbook might be slowing down because of a virus. But if not then your netbook already contains a lot of errors so it needs to be refragmented. There are softwares for that kind of job. The one I used is tuneup utilities. Download it and try for yourself.

If it is a new netbook it is not normal. You should test your RAM to see if it is defective, and scan your disk for bad clusters. If something is wrong -- 1 or 2 bad clusters are acceptable --, ask the seller for a replacement of this netbook.

There may be many possible reasons that might slow down your computer . One major problem may be because you have installed a useless version of windows (mostly if it is a pirated version ) . That usually causes most of the problem . Also your computer may be affected by some kind of useless virus and malware that is again a major factor in slowing down computers . I way I suggest to overcome this problem is try to install linux based operating system like ubuntu into your computer as the second operating system . Ubuntu is very advantageous because it can never get a virus and never usually hangs . Also its performance is good and you can use it for browsing and office works . Windows is quiet unstable and with too many viruses attacking it , you need to spend on anti virus solutions . But ubuntu doesn't need anti virus as it is quiet safe and stable . Also ubuntu supports so many in built drivers for many devices that when you connect a new printer , modem or anything else , you don't need to search for its drivers because ubuntu will automatically recognize them . Open source and linux rules . Live ubuntu . You will definitely be delighted by ubuntu's performance . Happy mylotting .
