sweetgarg: welcome to mylot. i will not recommend banning IPL. It is like cutting the hand for a small boil in one of the fingers. problems are bound to be there and it is for us to take steps to overcome. good day.

sweet: are you from west bengal. Garg name is more common in that place. or Punjab I am not sure. Transparency cannot be had in match fixing and all that. people do it stealthily--they may do it to gain revenue for organisation or for individual gains.

actually i am from rajasthan. what i mean from Transperacy is clear management. Head of the ipl should be some cricketing body. and one more thing hard punishment should be given to guilty

Many veteran cricket players and so many cricket lovers have already hinted that IPL is conducted not by the purpose to enhance the beauty and good spirit of cricket. There are so many hidden unfair interests working behind it by big money lobbies. I think there is nothing wrong on thinking of bringing ban on such a money targeted "festival". All types of evil powers are gathering to exploit these festivals, besides damaging the original spirit of cricket.

It is not a solution my friend. IPL is a big tournament and with this BCCI earned huge money and retirement players are got their reward. Nice to meet you.

I dont think it will be a good idea to ban IPL. It gives good chances for youngsters and BCCI should go forward with IPL. But they should take some good care so that such thinks won't happen. The rules should be made more strong so that the spirit of cricket will not be questioned.

i think only making of rules does not solve any problem we have to follow them as well and punishment should be hard not like only 5 match ban on harbhajan for slapping we there will a hard punishment then players start to think before doing anything wrong

IPL authority just failed to prove themselves. Indian Cricket Board always showing negative attitude against other countries. They banned Pakistani Player for internal political issue. Cricket is not a game of political issue its for making friendship. But Indian Cricket Board BCCI is doing the wrong. In Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) they did not send their players. They stopped to arrange the srilankan premier league. In the subcontinent their behave to the county is totally negative. Bangladesh got their test status more than 10 years ago. They can visit to play in all other country but only India did not invite them. The IPL should be banned for the behave of BCCI.

No.. Definetly not... there is no need to ban ipl... ipl just required good management... ipl commisioner should be any good former Criketer like shastry, gavaskar or kapil dev... Media like aajtak now reporting that ipl should be ban.. Why... These media only reporting ipl 24 hours.. Becuase people want to watch. .. All this controversies regarding ipl are due to mis management.. there is no fault of ipl... Ipl is giving emplyment to thousands of people. . Directly or indirecty... No need to ban ipl

If fair play continues ( has not?) I do not think there is any point to ban ipl. Who has earned how much is not the case but how happy people are watching the games that counts. There was report of spot fixing and all. I do not say it is baseless. That such thing does not happen is the duty of the managers. This time ipl gathered more crowd in the stadia than the earlier versions and this proves how popular this has become. And I do nor think banning is a solution.

Banning IPL will not give the solution for this problems. For every doings or for every plays there may be contradictions and they can be controlled by putting new rules for the game and should make sure that all are obeying those ones.
