so i've been waiting for years and years for diablo 3 to come out and when it does I buy it right away. I was to excited about it to bother even looking at the system requirements, so I'm stuck with the game that I most want to play but can't until I get a new computer. What a bummer

My roommate had this very same issue. She got the special edition and tried installing it, but whenever she tries to play it crashes... come to find out her processor is too old.

yes it suck very badly not to be able to play this game and have to wait. especially since I have to wait until I can come up with 5-8 hundred bucks to get a computer decent enough to play the game well. I think most people, including myself were assuming that it wouldn't be very graphic intense, therefor not require much. In a way that is true, but not so much as diablo 2. I'm very disappointed, but at the same time can't wait to be playing this game.

I totally expected it to be graphic intensive, its blizzard after all. Lol, I remember back when Starcraft first came out. It took us 2 hours to load the opening sequence and when it finally played we were shocked with how 'realistic' it was. XD Looking back now its laughable, but then it was top of the line technology. The game industry has come a long way since then, but the wow factor will always be a key selling point with any game. And to do that one must have epic artwork. The game industry is probably the one thing that has redeemed visual arts as a career; it has to be pretty.

I don't think a game like diablo 3 needs intense graphics, just improvements at a lot of the in game play. im sure everyone that played diablo 2 thought that the graphics were a joke, but they didn't care because the game was so fun. thats when you know you got a good game. Some people were playing that game for 12 years and the only thing that stopped them was the games sequel. Very impressive if I do say so myself
