The sole reason for me joinig mylot is i can write well and want to write more. but sometimes i feel my writing skills are of no use as i dont show off whatever i have written to anyone. I know i write well but feel if people will acknowledge or not. and the more i hide it from people the more i want few people to know. so all i feel is what should be done with my writings..

If you mean you have articles short stories or novels in storage you could if you choose attempt to publish them in a manner that pleases you the most. If however you mean what you current write in the present as you have done here in this discussion is accomplishing your goal if you keep discussions going, You can write more. You could also help me with my writing because it could use some work.

What sort of things do you write? A site like Helium may be better or you could try to publish short stories or novels in various places. An increasing number of publishers now accept on-line submissions. You say you can write well but how do you know? Like most things, you're own assessment of yourself may not be terribly reliable. Some things are objective, you can time how long it takes you to run a certain distance and get information about how well other people do. Writing's different, some people hate things others love. You can't easily measure the quality of your writing. You should find some way to get feedback from others. There are writers groups you can join (some of them on-line) that will give you feed back. You haven't capitalized the first "i". You have a period before "but" (which isn't capitalized but you shouldn't start a sentence with a conjunction anyway) then three more uncapitalized i's in the sentence. "I know i write well but feel if people will acknowledge or not." - not a good sentence and I'm not sure what it means. Anyway, I suggest that you learn grammar and punctuation or stick to a language you know better than English. Then I've heard that Terry McMillan's How Stella Got Her Groove Back doesn't have any punctuation but was a bestseller and made into a major movie so what do I know?

Hi there! Just keep on writing. You don't' really need to let people know you write well because it always shows. Just express yourself and be yourself. You can start a blog or online diary. You can write their all your thoughts and ideas, and at the same time you can earn from it. Good luck!

If you feel you write well, then why do you hide it from others? Why are you so much apprehensive of people's adverse reaction? Perhaps you are too shy.I can understand it,because I have had the feeling when I was a teenager.I had a flair for writing and I was writing articles for different Hindi magazines.Hindi is my mother tongue.I wrote the articles, but was hesitating to send them to the editors of the magazines.I had also written a novel on the life of the great revolutionary Chandrashekhar Azad.Once my father saw the novel and he read it from beginning to the end.He liked it very much and appreciated me.Then on all my shyness vanished and I began sending my articles to the reputed magazines.I was stunned to find that readers too praised my articles and stories. Now I am confident of my ability. I would like to suggest you to show your articles to others and better send them to magazines or online article writing sites.Don't be apprehensive of people's reaction.I wish you a resounding success.

I can write too, and it has taken me a long time to be able to find work in which I can write and get paid for it. You would be better trying to apply for a job in a local office and say that you would like to handle press releases, because this would mean that you had work in a proper company, and it would also mean that you were able to do what you enjoyed and gain experience from this at the same time. If you want to write freelance, then it always helps to be able to get this kind of experience before you do so, as you will then be able to understand just how hard the business is at the moment, and how much you have to work to be able to get your writing published.

you can join sites like exposeknowledge, iwriter, helium, triond, wikinut, knoji, expertscolumn. These sites allow you to write articles and earn money. The above mentioned sites are the best in the online world and you could make a neat amount by doing what you basically love to do- write. All the best. As for my lot, you could make money by answering others questions. A lot of us have got free help with a lot of issues here.
