About Korean dramas

I've been addicted to Korean drama years ago ever since 'My Name is Kim Sam Soon' (MNIKSS), but I only had the chance to watch several Kdramas last year. I finished 6 of them (Secret Garden, 49 days, Lie to me, Scent of a Woman, You are Beautiful, Heartstrings), even before our local tv networks offered them for public viewing. I even experienced having sleepless nights just to watch & cry over the lovely stories. I only stopped because I was having slight anemia already. Anyway, can you suggest other dramas which you have personally watched and absolutely recommend? Please. . . Thanks in advance.

Hi there ^^ I also love Korean drama very much. I love Secret Garden, Dream High, The Moon That Embraces The Sun, Coffee Prince, City Hunter, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, Princess Hour, 49 Days, Baker's King Kim Tak Goo, Dong Yi, and some more. I will suggest Coffee Prince and Princess Hour. Give them a try ^^

If I'm not mistaken, the lead actress of Princess Hour is the same as that of Lie to Me, isn't it? Anyway, thanks for the response & I will be noting them down on my to-watch list. Regards.

Yapp!! The lead actress is the same. She also casts on Coffee Prince. I love her dramas, very funny. Oh one more drama with her on it, My Fair Lady. ^^

Oh yes, I'm familiar with Coffee Prince although I haven't watched it. Her name is Yoon Eun Hye, I remember it now. When I look at her, I am reminded of another Korean actress - Park Shin Hye. They have similar features, in my opinion. Thanks again.

Okay, I'll keep those in mind. Holiday season is fast approaching and I do hope I would have a chance to watch them. Thanks for the suggestion.

I love Korean dramas too- i usually prefer comedy ones and love stories.. But some dramas have the same trend, someone dying, leaving then coming back a few years later. Ones i recently watched are City Hunter and Dream High- both great dramas.

I believe millions of people all over the world got addicted to City Hunter. Its airing has already ended here. Unfortunately, I'm too cautious to watch it because I might fall in love with the lead actor, who also was the lead actor in Boys Over Flowers. Hehehe... Anyway, I'll try to watch them before the year ends. Thanks.

I love to watch korean dramas and I collected some DVDs that really touch my heart like Endless love, Jang Geum, Jumong, Dong yi, My fierce wife and Baker King. One of my favorite is Jang Geum because she inspired me on cooking and helping sick people to get well.

Wow, that's great! I also heard from others that Jumong & Dong Yi are great; it's just that they are quite longer than the other dramas. The latter is currently aired every weeknights in local television. I'd be noting Jang Geum in my to-watch list. Thanks for the suggestion.

I could say that I am a fan of Korean dramas. My Name is Kim Sam Soon (Nae Ireumeun Kim Sam Soon) is one of my most favorites, as well. But for me, the best is Jewel in the Palace (Dae Jang Geum). It is my all-time favorite Korean drama... And it is the only Korean series I could admit that I have totally gotten hooked with. There are also some other great shows from SK, as well, but most of my faves came from the past decades; I haven't been watching much until just lately. But as of now I'm trying to see each and every episode of Lie to Me and the re-runs of Big Thing. It's not surprising that these Korean series became a huge hit everywhere. The stories and the acting in each show is but remarkable. They seem to be showing no traces of the cliche story that some of us are getting quite tired of. Not to mention that most of the time, the lead stars are attractive and talented, as well.

Very well said! I just couldn't agree more. I believe every Korean drama has that uniqueness that's why it's never boring to watch. And about the talented lead stars, they're just so adorable. Thanks and regards.
