Today is the final showdown. Would it be Phillip Phillips or Jessica Sanchez? There's something in Phillip that I love and the same goes with Jessica. I heard from a friend that Simon Fuller picked the 1st song which Jessica won that round. The 2nd song was Phillips moment. He said that the "got to choose" the first single, it was Phillip who nailed it with the standing ovation. Whew! tough competition.

Both Jessica and Philip are deserving of the Idol crown. Both have their ardent followers who are right now voting for their rightful choice. Both are good singers and performers who have had their moments in American Idol. Whoever wins this time will be based on the votes which I hope will be for Jessica. This will end the reign of the guitar strumming singers who have won in AI. Don't you think it is about time that a girl wins this Season 11. It has been long overdue since the women singers were often voted out out of the contest no matter if they were better than their male counterparts. However, aside from David Cooke, what has happened to the other Idol winners?

For me, there is no doubt about if Jessica really goes for it, and can stay from the influences that hit the younger crowd when they are a Big hit, she will be a big hit for quite a while to come no matter whether she wins Idol or not. Phillip has always been my favorite though, and I just like the way he can put a song together and in my opinion quite talented. I think if he wins he deserves it, and will do really well.
