Being nice is good yet doing good is better...

Being nice is good yet doing good is better.It is good and okay to be nice all the time but doing good for other people without expecting anything in returns is much better and fulfilling.
But sometimes no matter how try to be nice and do good to other people,they still misinterpret and take it for granted.They says that we can't please everybody but at least they know to appreciate things that other people do for them.
We should be more happy and thankful enough on the things that we have and the people around us.

When you are being nice, you can often go unnoticed. You may become invisible for not speaking out and stand in your ground instead of just accepting the situation. When we are doing something good to help someone else it can bring a sense of self-worth and confidence to our lives. i tcan leave you a good feeling for your efforts. @alberello (4752)

Well, I think all of us, we have to act on both fronts. In the sense that we should be nice, for ourselves, but never overlook the neighbor, especially in times of need. If we are asked for help from other people, we must help. This clearly, from my point of view should be put first.
Keep it to ourselves, this is a good thing. A mine relative, she used to say: When we are young we take good to pleasure, but we must keep for seniors for NOT REGRET!

This is so true, because when you do Good especially unto others Good will come back to you, and being nice could be something of the moment, or do you really mean it? I always feel when you do good it helps enrich your life and others and you will often feel better about yourself as well.

Very true sentiments when you really think about it. We are really just going to need to do what we do, not because of the fact that we should be expecting any returns, but there are just going to be times where we should just do it, because it is the right thing. Doing good is something that when one considers it, is its own reward.
If someone really does appreciate what we are doing because of how we do it, that is really nice, don't get me wrong. However, if we just go out and do the things, because they are the right things to do, then it is really something that will just give us some fulfillment in our life. In the end, we can't please everyone, so we just need to be at peace with ourselves.

You are right. You cannot please anybody. Sometimes they think that you are making some advantage over them when you help them or done good them on them. Some thinks that you will need something in replace of it.
In my opinion, when you really wants to good things to other, always keep in mind that you will not expect something in return. Even they see it as good or not, be happy enough that you helped someone.
I believe in karma law, and it will not happen immediately but unexpectedly.
