would you call the attention of someone at a gas station?

I have heard of stories of explosions in gasoline stations caused by cellphones being used while people are refilling their vehicles with gasoline. That is why we see notices everywhere telling us to switch off our cellphones while at the gas station. There had been three occasions when I had to call the attention of people who were with me in public transport who tried to use their cellphones while the drivers were buying gasoline. Yes, I am one to call the attention of anyone who does not heed the warning sign posted on gas stations. How about you? Do you call the attention of someone using his cellphone at gas stations?

That's interesting... Because there's been claim that it's a myth & cell phone use, at least in or near gas stations, are safe... http://www.switched.com/2008/03/07/cell-phone-myths-explained-2/

A myth? It's real. There are videos of explosions caused by that.

You did a great job calling the attention of some passengers while you were all at the gas station. That took a lot of guts for you. If I were me, I'd probably wouldn't do it since I'm too shy to say something. I've seen some people who use their mobile phones at gas stations and never get blown up or anything, but if I was in your situation, the only thing I could think of is pray that nothing bad happens while these neglectful people use their cellphones where they're not supposed to. Still, that was a good job and I hope I could do the same like you did though.

In situations like this Pen, we need to forget about our shyness and tell people.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for reminding us though.

I think everybody has the right to give attention to the safeness of his fellow. There are some that are not aware of this. And we must tell them that it is not right to use cellphone when we are in a gas station.

Yes, as using mobile phones are really prohibited in gas stations. This is for the safety of everyone. Of course i dont wanna die yet. But if he really dont wanna stop I just tranfer to another gas station right away before that gas station explodes.

I would point it out to the gas station attendant and let him deal with it. You could be asking for trouble by confronting the person.

Oh. I never thought about that. It would be too late if I still go to the attendant because we were already at the gas station and this lady was still texting.
