Broken Window

I had some weed removal work being done today; it is a tough job with our desert weeds. I heard a loud bang from the bedroom. Just I feared, when I looked out the blinds there was a small hole in the non-opening side of my glass sliding doors and cracks extended to all parts of the window. There were cracking sounds going on which continued for some time. The weed whacker(a heavy string or line one) had thrown a rock and broken the outer pane of the double pane window. The company doing the weed removal called the glass replacement company I had used in the past and they sent someone out right away. It is a non-standard size and will cost more to replace than the cost of the weed removal. It looks like the weed removal company will pay for it(or their insurance will). But it was a big hassle today and will be again when the glass company comes to replace it.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that happened. I hate when I have to have any sort of repair workers come into the house. I'm always like 'it's my space, you're giving me a headache. Do your job and get out.' Now I'm never rude to them, but I hate the headache of such ordeals.
