Yeah, just because i wore the same color of their uniform.. Do i even look that old? It was a bit embarrassing. The first time i was with my parents and i was writing something for her and a lady asked me what the price was for the cloth..And the other time an old lady asked me where to find a certain product.. have you ever had this experience?

I guess it could happen to anybody especially if a consumer can not find anyone and it happen that you is close by. Maybe she don't mean to offend you but seeing no one it just come to her mind to asked someone just in case you knew. I have not experienced it yet but it could be possible.

Being a saleslady is very tedious job. Maybe seeing that there are few consumer, some of them find time to gossip to kill time and if many some pretend that they are busy. So, you can't find them around when you need them.

Well, yes, that could be the case.. Since it is more convenient to just ask the person near you than wait for some saleslady to go by. It is a bit frustrating when they are so far away too and talking and talking to others too.

A few times there were people who thought that I worked in that store and asked me the price or asked me to take this and that product. Yeah they thought that I m working there. If they just asked about the price then perhaps I could help them but to take this and that products for them I would just say sorry. They are even some salesgirls who hesitate to serve me since I don't look like a customer but more just someone like them~hehe...(^^)

Why? Did the dress you wore look like their uniform? That was the reason i was mistaken to be one of them.. I'll never wear the same color when going into that store again..

Not that, but every time I go shopping with my dad, people think we are husband and wife. Of course my father is 60 years old and doesn't look a day over 50, but still it bothers me that they jump right to wife. Not even the possibility of daughter. Makes me feel kinda...old. One person actually said to my dad recently "This you're daughter?" I wanted to jump the counter and hug the stuffing out of her.

Oh yes, i get the feeling.. maybe it is because of men who date really young girls, and younger girls who date old men.. we have that here sometimes.. Even i was mistaken as my dad's girlfriend.. I even look so alike my dad, how could they think that..

Yes, I have experienced it just two days ago. My husband and I were buying cloths for my business then came a lady and asked me if there's available cloth for sofa cover. I just looked at my husband and maybe she got the signal that we are not the seller. It is just okay with me because she is asking politely, otherwise I protested! haha

Yeah, it is fine if they are polite.. and i think they get the idea immediately if you don't answer the question since salesladies are usually attentive..

My uncle own his own grocery shop,a small shop. Once i went there to purchase certain things. All the workers who works in the shop was really busy. They was attending the customers needs. By the time i started to purchase the things i need. When i was purchasing myself a stranger asked me to get him 1 kg of sugar. At first i have him a smile and told him that i am not a worker in the shop. I an just a customer like you and i an purchasing myself because this is my uncle's shop. I wonder why the stranger did not get who i am. The stranger is a family member but still if couldn't get me.

Maybe he was just confused or was really in a hurry.. Since everyone else was busy.. i was facing this old lady when she asked where a certain product was.. i was still new to the lace so i didn't know at all.

I always get mistaken for salespeople. I don't know why... even when I was 13-14. I didn't even wear anything looking like a uniform. Maybe I have a really nice, reliable and helpful-looking face :D.

hi, what happened with me is completely the opposite, i have mistaken few people , who are actually customers like me , to be saleslady/men. when they actually told me that they are customers like me, i was so embarrassed, thank God ..none of them insulted/got angry on me, when i realized , my mistake , i said "sorry" for the mistake...and they just smiled back....

Yes I did have this experience when I was younger, probably about 14 years old and so not even quite old enough to work in a shop. I wasn't wearing clothes that even slightly resembled a uniform and was stood with my dad waiting for my mum to pay for an item. It was really embarassing for me, never mind the lady who approached me to ask my advice.

Wow, i wonder why people are like that.. how could they mistake a 14 year old as a saleslady who didn't even wear similar clothes.. Good thing you were with your parents..

Oh yeah thats quite embarrassing when someone thinks that you are salesman/saleswoman.. yeah even i had a similar kind of experience but in return i scolded that person for the confusion and he said sorry and i warned him not to repeat such a mistake again..
